Has been going out for the past 3 Saturdays/Sundays... These are the movies I've watched for the past 3 weeks! From April onwards, there will be many frames coming up.... Busy months ahead!! Meanwhile, presenting Movie Reviews XIII to you!

1) Jumper : David Rice is a "Jumper", a teleporter, who can go anywhere, anytime. He can see 20 sunsets in one day, whisk his girlfriend across the world in the blink of an eye and grab millions of dollars in minutes. However, his life takes a sharp turn when he finds himself pursued by a secret organisation sworn to kill Jumpers. Forming an uneasy alliance with another young Jumper, David enters a war that has been raging for thousands of years. Chased around the world, he discovers a stunning truth about his own past and his family. From the American Midwest to the streets of Tokyo and the ruins of Rome, David's global odyssey is the first chapter in an epic adventure.

My Rating and Views : 8/10. A very exciting and thrilling movie from the start to the end. This is one "power" everybody wished to have! Jumping from continents to continents without carrying his damn passport! However, the plot for this movie is pretty predictable.

2) 10.000 BC : Epic tale that centers on three stages in the development of primitive man, as seen through a 21-year-old hunter from a primitive tribe who must hunt mammoth to survive.

My Rating and Views : 8/10. This movie is very much liked a movie which I've reviewed on the 23 Jan 2007, Apocalypto. Its just that it is not thrilling and exciting as Apocalypto. When you watch Apocalypto, you will feel sad and angry for the Mayan tribal people... But for 10,000BC, its just pure action... I thought that the Saber-toothed Tiger will assist him in overthrowing the "bad guys"... I thought it will be more exciting this way... haha... Guys, if you like movies liked Apocalypto, you will wanna watch this as well.

3) Rule #1 : RULE #1 traces the chilling stories uncovered by the Police Force's emergency calls centre. Everyday the centre receives 185 phone calls, 180 of them are about felonies rapes, murders, robberies, kidnappings The other five begin with "there's something strange in my house.." RULE #1 tells the shocking and twisted tale of veteran cop Wong (Ekin Cheng) and rookie Lee (Shawn Yue) as they plunge head first into a series of spooky investigations.

My Rating and Views : 9/10. It has been a long time since a chinese horror movie gave me the "goosebumps feeling"... The only 2 movie which gave me that feeling are Shutter and Dark Water, both Japanese horror movies... I think Fiona Xie speaks cantonese pretty well! (Surprisingly)... Towards the end, some people might not be able to catch what is happening... (Some people might say,"hey, so wat is happening? How come suddenly liked rewind like that? So what exactly happen?") Simple... The "1st ending" is what Shawn Yue told his superior what happen and how Ekin Cheng die... The "2nd ending" is what actually happens... Definately worth your $10! Watch it!

4) An Empress and The Warriors : The story is set in ancient China before its unification, during which countless kingdoms battle for supremacy. YEN FEIER (played by Kelly Chan) is thrust onto the throne when her father is killed in battle. Feier and her loyal MUYONG XUEHU (played by Donnie Yen) unite to defend the kingdom. But her ambitious cousin Wu Ba (played by Guo Xiao-dong) sends assassins to kill her. A mysterious man Duan Lan-Quan (played by Leon Lai) saves her. Feier falls in love with Duan who offers her another life. With the fate of her kingdom in the balance, Feier must choose between her duty and her dreams...

My Rating and Views : 8/10. This is another typical House of the Flying Dagger (Shi Mian Mai Fu) and The Battle of Wits (Mo Gong) kind of movie... Still nice to watch. Not liked Curse of The Golden Flower... This show is actually quite exciting at certain point. I watched this show is because I love Donnie Yen movies... But he cannot show his street fighting skills in this "Kung fu" movie. However, he did have his "showtime" of fighting towards the end. haha... When i watch this show, I just knew that Leon Lai had some "hidden past" in him... Indeed he has... But I find that the character Leon Lai played is "under utilized"... Watched it and you will know what I am talkong about... Overall, a nice movie to catch! Will again get the Golden Horse "Best dress/attire award" haha...

In the middle of the show, my colleague just laugh at Leon Lai's name.... Notice his name in the movie is Duan Lan-Quan ... Just pronounced it with han yu ping ying Duan(4) Lan(3) Quan(3)... hahaha.... Dog with a broken dick! haha....can't stand my friend.... all mad idiots...hahaha...

"Redesign" My Room

2nd entry in a single day! Compare to the 1st pic on my room which i have posted on 30th August 2007, this is so much cozier... Haha... My room got more and more things! I love to sit on my sofa, listen to my songs and do work. Read magazines also there... Surf net also there!

Picture number 1... Things which I had "stolen" from colleagues who EOT...(The dark brown table, The Sofa, The black table which my TV resides, and of course... THE TV!!!!!!!!!) hahaha....

I went for my off on 2nd March 2008. As usual, I went to Gadong and happen to see this popeye bedsheet and comforter. I quietly went to buy, afraid my colleague will laugh at me (indeed...they saw it eventually and say I so old act cute! haha). Then I saw A'arif. I persuaded him to buy with me! Saying,"Hey, come on lah...buy lah... so comfortable, so cheap, and funny! If they laugh let them laugh lah!" Then he bought.... hahaha... The moment he bought it, I know even if I am being laugh at, I AM NOT ALONE!!!!! hahaa... "See! A'arif also buy wat!!!" hahaha...

See my mad father! He saw my niece Germain shaved her head, my dad said,"So cute. Shave for me also!" He think cute! haha... The difference is, he is old...looked like some mad fellow! but Germain...CUTE!! hehe...

Let's Rewind abit...

I think I forgotten to blog this. 2-3 months back, I went to the best Hotel in Brunei, Empire Hotel! Very affordable, very comfortable to stay in. For SAF personel, we do get some discount if we wanna book the hotelroom from Empire. Shiok.... Before my End Of Tour, I will go there again...

This is a Jacuzzi bathtub! I when i saw the bathtub, I drove my rented car to Gadong, walked into bodyshop, bought those aroma thingy and some bubble bath stuff... Then something happen.... The Jacuzzi function spoilt.... Angry.... Called the room service people....Still can't get it repaired.... Then they offered me another room... My answer is,"I don't want!" hahaha.... Moral of the story? Test your bathtub 1st!!!!! hahaha.....

Hey hey hey.... Don't even think I am eating them all! They are shared by 4 people... haha... And I don't drink. so the red wine is for the other 3. One thing I regret....not taking the white sleeping robe which im wearing...haha... Damn shiok man!

Going Into My 7th Month in Brunei

1st day of March! Going into my 7th month in Brunei. Time really flashes very quickly... Remembering my family and friends sending me off... Well, Maybe its bad news for you guys, I might be extending for another 1/2 year. Which means, Feb09 then I'll be back for good. Spend too much here... Save up time!

I took 3 good hours to do up this picture (now in my room wall). Its not because I'm too free!! Its because I really miss them all...too much. See you guys for my bonus leave!

This picture is taken during my last home leave in Feb this year. Look at my niece! Sleep also open the leg until so big. hehe... Getting cuter each day.

Family pics! My mum went to beijing with my sister and brother in law on the same day i went back to Brunei... This pic was taken in Changi Airport Terminal 3. It has really been a long time since we've last taken a family picture...

There are 2 possibilities on my home leave...

1) If I did not extend...

I will come back for my bonus leave ard July period and come back to Singapore in August.

2) If I extend till Feb 09...

I will come back in July for 15 days for my bonus leave. And again in December for my Home Leave, then Feb 09 EOT (End of Tour)...

Movie Reviews XII

A week has passed since my last home leave to Singapore. Now is busy period, all the way till year end. When I saw the workplan, I almost flip... Nevertheless, take one step at a time and see how it goes. These are the latest movies I've watched when back in Singapore. Did I mentioned that Cathay has increased the weekend tickets to $10? phewed...Here is Movie Reviews XII to you guys. Enjoy!

1) Ah Long Pte Ltd : is a light-hearted black comedy about the triad world and the money-lending business. The movie takes on a humorous and sarcastic treatment on the underworld. It depicts how a young lady, Li Hua (Fann Wong) tries to restructure her money-lending triad into a professional and 'loving' triad that stands against the use of violence after she takes over from her triad leader (Richard Low) who retired. Her various restructuring plans (which are no doubt very creative) bring about hilarious results. Li Hua tired of her mother's constant nagging to get married, she finally relented and proposed to Mr Fang (Mark Lee), an effeminate dance instructor cum image stylist. Surprised to many and even herself, Mr Fang accepted the proposal. The unusual union, despite the misfits, soon blossom into love.

My Rating and Views : 10/10. This movie is really damn good. Its very funny. Somehow or rather, watching Jack's Neo production is not because of their storyline, its because of the language they used. His productions are all, i shall say,"closer to home" kind of movies. Their boldness in language and the way they pinpoint indirectly on our government makes their movies popular with the locals and neighbouring countires! Well done.

2) Kung Fu Dunk : Shi-Jie (Jay Chou) is a brilliant martial artist from the Kungfu School. The master of the school adopted him as a baby, when he was found abandoned in the woods. His remarkable kungfu skills stem from his innate intuition and ability to read his opponents moves. One day, he encounters a group of youths playing basketball and shows off how easy it is for him, with his martial arts training, to do a Slam Dunk. Watching him was Chen-Li (Eric Tsang), a shrewd businessman, who decides that he would exploit Shi-Jie to make some money. Under the guise of helping Shi-Jie to find his family, he recruits him to play varsity basketball at the local university.

My Rating and Views : 8/10. Many people want to watched this movie is because of mainly 3 reasons. 1st, because of Jay Chou. 2nd, peole will have the mentality that this show is somehow linked to the Japanese Anime, Slam Dunk (They are right... Only the starting is quite similar to Slam Dunk). 3rd, People will want to watch this movie as Shaolin soccer is a great success. Now is Kung Fu Basketball, anybody will be interested to watch. About this movie, I can only say the dunks and ally hooks are impressive. Storyline is very normal. Still worthed its $9.50.

3) CJ 7 : The latest comedy from Stephen Chow, CJ7 is a fantasy tale featuring state of the art visual effects. A poor laborer father (Chow) and his young sons lives are turned upside down when a fascinating and strange new pet enters their world. Amid the resulting comic mayhem, they ultimately learn a poignant lesson about the true nature of family and the things money can't buy.

My Rating and Views : 6/10. This is the 1st time Stephen Chow is not really the star of the movie. In fact, it is the stupid cute alien and his son. Not to mention that there is this fat giantic girl with a cartoon voice. haha... I did not rate that high because this show is not very funny nor impressive. I know i know, because its a Stephen Chow movie, people will still go and watch despite the reviews. But all I can say is, this is a DVD movie... Not worth watching in the cinema... After watching this movie, I can already foresee that the CJ7 toy will be launching very soon...

4) Sweeney Todd, The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street : Johnny Depp and Tim Burton join forces again in a big-screen adaptation of Stephen Sondheims award-winning musical thriller Sweeney Todd. Depp stars in the title role as a man unjustly sent to prison who vows revenge, not only for that cruel punishment, but for the devastating consequences of what happened to his wife and daughter. When he returns to reopen his barber shop, Sweeney Todd becomes the Demon Barber of Fleet Street who shaved the heads of gentlemen who never thereafter were heard from again. Joining Depp is Helena Bonham Carter as Mrs. Lovett, Sweeneys amorous accomplice, who creates diabolical meat pies. The cast also includes Alan Rickman, who portrays the evil Judge Turpin, who sends Sweeney to prison and Timothy Spall as the Judges wicked associate Beadle Bamford and Sacha Baron Cohen is a rival barber, the flamboyant Signor Adolfo Pirelli.

My Rating and Views : 7/10. For movies liked this, I like to compare. For Musical movies like Sweeney Todd, I would like to compare it with again, Moulin Rouge. I must say that this movie is quite slow. The Music and Songs are always repeating. There is no "Theme Song." Not like Moulin Rouge (Come what May and Elephant Love Melody). My colleagues watched this show with me in Brunei and I am the only one NOT SLEEPING. haha... This show could have been rated higher if the songs are more impressive. The storyline is good and the characters/actors in this movie are great! really! Don't borther buying the DVD because you might fall asleep if you dun have a good home theatre system.

Another show I would like to watch is definately Jumper. Stylo kind of movie... Guess I can only wait till the DVD is out here... Everybody is busy with their own stuff already... Tired months ahead...

My Cute Little Nieces

Bad news... Due to some issues, I might not be able to come back to Singapore for my Chinese New Year after all. There is still a slightest chance but even if can come back, it will be from 1st Feb - 10th Feb. Many things haven do and buy... The "Do" part I shall not elaborate much... But the buy part I can blog, hoping someone will buy me the below mention "wishlist." hehe...

1) iPod Classic 160G
2) External Hardisk 500G
3) PSP Slim (Don't have the "urge" to buy but can have it also if someone buy. haha)
4) Movie Posters, Pearl Habour from Wu Ming JB shop
5) Handphone Sony Errisson (non - camera)

If I can go back, will buy all these! Anyways, today's highlight is my Nieces! Cute and adorable they are... The 1st 2 pics is my Sister's. Nadine Lin Ying Xing. Did I mention I recommand Nadine's chinese name to my Sister? hehe...

Cute little Nadine sleeping... She really looks more like my Brother-In-Law, Joshua. So alike! I guess its true that girls will look more like the father. Nadine has very long legs. She is going to be a tall girl next time. Same like my Borther-In-Law.

Look at her eyes! Will be a pretty girl too! Straight hair, big eyes.... This picture is taken on the 16th day of her birth on 31DEC07. She will be the youngest in her class... haha...

This is my Brother's daughter, Germain Goh Jie Min. Yes yes... I "advertise" her many times already. She really has my Sister-In-Law's mouth and my Brother's face! I think this picture is also taken when Germain is few days old.

4 months old Germain. This is my current Msn picture as well. Kan cute! I like it when babies stare at something, looking lost and blurr. haha... innocent looking. Fat and chubby girl. hehe... But her hair lose to Nadine's. 4 months liao still so little hair. haha... Felt like bitting her cheeks!

Can't wait for them to call me, can't wait to bring them to Toys 'R' Us, buy toys for them to play....

Movie Reviews XI

Hello Dear All! Firstly I would liked to wish you all A MERRY CHRISTMAS and A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! It has been really sometime since I've done a movie reviews after I went to Brunei. I did watched afew movies in Brunei but was too busy to do reviews. When I chatted with a friend yesterday, she was asking why I stop doing this. So, there goes!

1) Across The Universe: A dock worker Jude travels to America in the 1960s to find his estranged father. There he falls in love with sheltered American teenager Lucy. When her brother Max is drafted to fight in the Vietnam War, they become involved in peace activism. The film title and main characters are named after various songs by The Beatles.

My Rating and Views : 4/10. This is a "musical" movie. Every 5mins there will be a song... When the movie started, I thought this movie follows Moulin Rouge concept; A Musical Play kind of show. I watched on and found that this movie is very draggy! To me, this movie is about a bunch of people who cannot make it in life, trying to find their "way out" but in the mist of it, a love story is involved between Jude and Lucy... It becomes an "Artistic" movie... I rated 4/10 simply because most songs are from Beatles.. and I love Beatles songs... Imagine.... My friend beside me slept when the show only started for about 10mins...Snored somemore! Friends asked me,"You love Phantom Of The Opera and Moulin Rouge... You should like this movie what..." Okok. Maybe Im too subjective. You guys go and watch and let me know yah? This movie CANNOT COMPARE with Phantom and Moulin Rouge! Please....

2) I Am Legend: Robert Neville (Will Smith) is a brilliant scientist, but even he could not contain the terrible virus that was unstoppable, incurable and manmade. Somehow immune, Neville is now the last human survivor in what is left of New York Cityand maybe the world. But he is not alone. He is surrounded by the Infected victims of the plague who have mutated into carnivorous beings who can only exist in the dark and who will devour or infect anyone or anything in their path. For three years, Neville has spent his days scavenging for food and supplies and faithfully sending out radio messages, desperate to find any other survivors who might be out there. All the while, the Infected lurk in the shadows, watching Nevilles every move, waiting for him to make a fatal mistake. Perhaps mankinds last, best hope, Neville is driven by only one remaining mission: to find a way to reverse the effects of the virus using his own immune blood. But his blood is also what The Infected hunt, and Neville knows he is outnumbered and quickly running out of time.

My Rating and Views : 7/10. A very short movie. Its about 1hr and 45mins. I still rated it quite high because of the non-stop action in this film. The whole show ended too sudden and is very very predictable. I felt that Will Smith could have escaped but to make it "more dramatic", he died... watch it. Quite worth it for people who loves to watch action movies.

3) National Treasure 2: In this follow up to the box-office hit "National Treasure," treasure hunter Ben Gates (Nicolas Cage) once again sets out on an exhilarating, action-packed new global quest to unearth hidden history and treasures. When a missing page from the diary of John Wilkes Booth surfaces, Ben's great-great grandfather is suddenly implicated as a key conspirator in Abraham Lincoln's death. Determined to prove his ancestor's innocence, Ben follows an international chain of clues that takes him on a chase from Paris to London and ultimately back to America. This journey leads Ben and his crew not only to surprising revelations but to the trail of the world's most treasured secrets.

My Rating and Views : 8/10. For serial movies like this, I usually like to compare it with part 1. National Treasure 1 gives people the "wow" and "Only a freaking genius who woke up the right side of his bed everyday can find the treasure" kind of thoughts and feeling. For part 2, it just give people the,"Its not so difficult to find the treasure" kind of feeling compare to part 1. Of course still freaking difficult to find but as mention earlier, comparison between part 1 and the current (People do compare..). Worth your $9.50 I must say.

4) Warlords: In the fall of 1870, General Pang (starring Jet Li) stands high atop the city walls fully attired in governor's robes. Peering down upon the site of his inauguration, he is filled with dreams and ambition. Pang has taken a path of no return; had he chosen differently, he might have been one of the heroes to later overthrow the corrupt Qing imperial regime and establish a new China. He could have changed the course of history... ...But two bandits and a woman have changed the course of his life - helping him achieve his goal, but ultimately causing his demise. The two bandits are his sworn blood brothers: Zhao Er-Hu (starring Andy Lau) and Jiang Wu-Yang (starring by Takeshi Kaneshiro). The woman who comes between them is Zhao's wife Lian (starring by Xu Jinglei)...

My Rating and Views : 7/10. Don't pinned too high hopes on movie liked this. What do I mean by that? Example: Cursed Of The Golden Flower by Jay. Similar. Jet Li plays the Bad Guy, Andy Lau plays the Rebellious Guy and Takeshi plays the Follower and also, A WUSS.... I find that Andy Lau should play Jet Li role in this movie. I think it will bring out more in the movie. Maybe due to age Jet Li had to play the "Da-ge" role. haha... I watched this movie in Brunei and did not get to finish the movie because I got to rush back to camp. But I do know the ending still... All died in the end if you want to know.

I've also watched The Golden Compass, Stardust and watching Alien Vs Predator 2 before I go back. Basically, Golden Compass and Stardust is "Fantasy" kind of movie. Not much to comment about. Those who love to watch Fantasy Movies can go for it. All I can said is Stardust is more worth it. More exciting lah.

Steamboat??!!

2nd blog for today! Too many photos to upload so might as well blog it now. From tomorrow onwards I will be very busy again... so... STEAMBOAT TIME!

Liked what I've mention in my previous blog. Here, when we felt like doing something, all agree, we will do it. Yes, this time aroud we had the "kicked" to have a steamboat meal! As you can see here, simple dish like fishballs, prawns, hotdog, crabmeat, sliced fish/chicken, sotong... But really shiok... Especially now is rainy season...Eating hot stuff like steamboat is...BEST!

My colleague SSG Lee Siang and Myself. Taken before we had our meal. Younger than me by 1 year old but is married! haha...

Another mad fellow... Our Camp QM, Jude. Its nice to have him around because He always has those funny lines (He learned from movies) and sing stupid songs to irritate you, in a funny way. He is also my Gym Buddy. See him eating conflakes for dinner you know already... A super health concious guy. One of our "new hobbies" now is to disturb our MO (Medical Officer). Another funny person. haha...

Alright...must sleep now... Waking up at 4.45am...Yawn....

2 Days 1 Night Of Shacked BUT Fun "Trip!"

Hello! Again, it has been sometime since I've last updated my blog. These are some of the "places" I've been to. Apologised again for not being able to tell you guys which place is this but... Ok. Enjoy!

This is one photo I like alot. The moment we start our "little hiking", we hit water body... I was thinking,"Gosh... so fast I have to get myself wet already?" The water is cold BUT clear. Yup, we cook our maggie, boil our coffee, bathe, drink...all from this river! haha...

This picture is abit dark... As you can see, it is until my waist level already... The highest I've hit is neck level! Walking in the river really drained a person out. We had to "walk with caution" because of slippery bolders/rocks... Not forgetting the current in the river. You really got to be caution with every step you take or you might just slip and fall, sprained your ankle and stuff.

After some work, of course we must "enjoy" ourselves alittle. Yes, we bathe! This is the 1st time I bathe in river. My colleague was mad enough to bring shampoo and body foam outfield. It was really fun! Swim...suntan.... bathe.... haha... More and more enjoy outfield with my colleagues! Yah yah... I guess I'm getting mad too...

Wanted to do movie reviews XI but getting lazy to do so... I've watched Beowulf, Stardust and I now pronounced You Larry and Chuck (I guess). Maybe I will review it soon... But on the average, they are all 7/10 movies...

3 Months in Brunei...Time flies!

Hello everyone!! Sorry for not updating my blog as frequent because I'm really busy with the work here. Anyways, The next frame coming up here will be around 2 weeks from now so I had more time to blog now. Many things/events had taken place here in L Camp. It has been a long time since I've last ENJOYED my work, since 6 SIR??.. haha.. Yes yes, of course its tiring. But its exciting as over here in Brunei, I felt like a soldier again. Here goes!

Our Team 1 "Conducting Family!" From the left: LCP Eng Chye (Team Signaller), Myself, LTA Roger Goh (Officer Instructor 1), My direct superior CPT Aidil (Senior Officer Instructor 1.. He was my APC when I am a cadet! Small world huh!), SSG Faizal (Auxillery Instructor 1) and 2WO Hong BM (Senior Auxillery Instructor 1). Really enjoyed ourself despite our trainings to the soldiers. 2WO Hong cook all our meals! Porriage (which i haven eat for the past 6 years?? ppl who know me knew Im a rice eater! But enjoy it...Find it wierd also....), Noodle soup... American breakfast....hahaha...

During the frame, some of my colleagues suggested,"Hey, long time din BBQ...I think after the Battalion Frame we will do one..Lets chip in $20 do we will eat good food!" And there goes! Here is like that. when we felt like doing something, all agree...we will carry out and make it happen! Had frice frice, noodles, soft drinks, beer, chicken wings, lamp chop...etc...eat until i damn full man! Thats why I visit the gym more often so as to try to maintain my weight... Increasing already....

Yes! Thats my sister. My Niece is inside, going to pop out at end december! She will be named Nadine Lim. Chinese name: 林颍馨. Lin Ying Xing. I choose that name for her! Love it! Wooooo.... Welcoming her to be part of us! Really excited to see the arrival of Nadine.

Others: Just celebrated Deeparaya (Deepavali and Hari Raya together). Din't know our men can dance and perform so well. Going for my next nights out to town to stock up my maggi noodles, canned food, toiletries and yes! DVDs! I'm going to watch movie at the cinema there as well!

Finally Ended

Yes, My JCC has come to an end.... And thanks to all those who have always keep me in your prayers, I've made it! Even before I went for this course, I'm afraid that I couldn't make it as I have been suffering from Calcanium Spur on my right foot and has been an Admin Officer for the past 1 Year. Well, Thank God for seeing and carrying me through this entire course. Anyway, Its over and I've made it!

A picture I took from my fellow colleague here in L Camp. Every morning I woke up this is what I see for the 9 days course. At ard 5am is the 1st light in the morning and by 6.30pm, its pitch dark... Everytime I'm tired and wondering if I can still go on the next day, I'll tell myself this..."No matter how tired, its only 13hrs of walking and climbing...After 6.30pm, even if I want to walk also cannot... Work hard for 13hrs and I can Sleep for the next 11 hrs!" haha...

Yup... This this the JCC badge. I have been wanting this badge 4 years ago (when I failed this course as an Officer Cadet). Got it at last. You ask people who have gone through this course, they will all say,"I will not want to go through this shit again..." Thats why I'm super "relieved" now... phew!

After loosing 10kg, Its feasting time! Went out with my colleagues to have one of my favourite, Japanese Food! Actually I wanted to eat Burger King... Got cravings for that. But the whole freaking country don't have Burger King! I think in Brunei, 1 King is enough huh....

My brother just send me his daughter (my niece!) pictures! Look at her! She has grown! Staring at my brother looking lost...haha... Bigger and cutier each day. Just can't wait to carry her and my Sister's daughter, by then, when I come back for my home leave in Janurary.

Alright guys, I will be home from 25 Janurary 08 till 11 Feburary 08. Leave applied, but not approved yet. I'll see you all mate!

@ Brunei 1st Month

It has been near to 1 month, there are still many things to learn over here. Still doing my IPC now. 2 days ago I just walk the reverse Mt. B and tomorrow, I'll be Heli Inserted into JV and track out from there. Yes, very very tired... but again, I had to tell myself these are all trainings for my Upcoming JCC on the 17th this month. My skin is not used to all the insects bite here... my hands and fingers swell alittle when blood suckers bit me. While crossing some rivers, 2 leeches were happily sucking my blood away! Gosh... Below are some pictures taken while I'm preping for my IPPT/JCC. hehe...

This is a pic taken during a Life run. Because now its the fruit season here in Temburong, after the run we had some fruits plucked by some of the locals, given to us to try. We had Rambutans, Jackfruits, Durians...etc... All freshly plucked from the trees! The fruits are sweet! But it is also the 1st time I had tasted durians with brown flesh, and it really really taste liked peanut butter! An experience indeed!

This is my upper study. We had our last workout in our Camp Gym before he flew back to Singapore. Here, we will make used of our time to train up ourselves in order to overcome all the mountains here... If not, sure to suffer...haha

As you can see, was really training my hands and shoulders up! A'arif was supporting me as I'm doing my 3rd set... hands became really soft and weak after that... phew...

The life here is really simple... People always say anybody who posted here will need 3 months to settle down... to adjust to the slow pacing Brunei lifestyle... I already got used to it in fact. Because back in Singapore, my life is also very simple:

1) Monday - Friday (Work)
2) Saturday 1st half of the day - Work, then sleep...
2nd half of the day - Watch Midnight with movie karkees and go supper after that...
3) Sunday - Watch DVDs and Hong Kong Drama the whole day...

So....

Whats the difference! hahaha....

Running In...

Good News Good News! I got my IPPT Silver 2 days ago. And that also means I will be going for the open JCC with ADF mid next month. It will be tough, but the faster I go through it, the better and easier it will be for me to instruct in Lancer. I will be training my combat fitness very very soon. Now I'm busy handing/taking over from my upper study as Team 1, Officer Instructor (OI 1). Yup, I'm in Team 1. I am also going through the Instructor Prep Course (IPC). This course will allow me to know how Lakiun Camp work, history, the different types of exercises conducted here...etc. Getting abit more busy.

This is the wallpaper of Team 1. I find it quite artistic and unique. I love this wallpapaer alot! Its now my laptop wallpaper as well. haha..

This is my room just beside the Officer Mess. It is quite comfortable to sleep in. And its Air-Condition! I din know here got Air-Con bunks. I thought a fan will be good enough already... especially in a place liked Brunei...

Yesterday I went for my very 1st nights out at Bandar Area. Really nothing there... But they had a small DVD store. When I saw this DVD, "Tales From The Creep Season 1", I bought it right away! My childhood show! Most of the stories got a twist in the end... I already ordered the Season 2. Will get it 2 weeks from now. The DVD 9 (better in quality) here only selling at $4. I think I will start "collecting DVDs" here le... But how to bring back? Scratch head... haha...

Oh yes! Most likely I will be coming back on late December. I can't come back on February for the Chinese New Year because a Battalion frame is coming up. Coming back in December also not bad... I can see my 2nd Niece! haha...

Friends, pls pray for my Sister's daughter to be a smart, cute, pretty and healthy girl! Pray for my Sister's health, to have an easy delivery and speedy recovery... By the way, my Sister's Daughter will be named Nadine Lim. haha... I made fun of my Sister... Saying next time their next child, be it boy or girl, to be named SARDINE! hahaha...WAHAHAHAHAA.....

Today there is a shocking news...

Earlier in the morning, TJ asked me over. He said,"Roger, today while CPT Ho Si Qiu is running the Army Half Marathon, he collapse.." Then I said,"Oh yah...today is the Marathon... So which hospital is he in now? Is he ok?" Answer given:

"He died... Cannot managed to revive him... Pass away this morning..."

I stare at TJ for around 2mins... and asked him how he know this piece of news and who tell him...

After that, I go into my room to pray for his family members... I looked at my hp, so many missed calls and messages asking if CPT Ho reaaly died... I called each and everyone of them... Nearly everybody had the same reaction as I am... Shock...Stunned...Because anybody who knows SQ knows that he neither smoke nor drink... a devoted christian and love his family very much... Running is liked "walking" to him... His fitness level is really there.... I really don't know why things liked that happen...especially to people liked him...

Can still remember the times when we are working together... going outfield with him, chasing him for SMARTO indents... And the last time I shook his hands at the Airport before I came to Brunei, telling me to take care...

God, I just pray that You will continue to watch and lay Your comforting hands upon CPT Ho Si Qiu family, relatives and friends... Holy Spirit, be with them, giving them all the comfort they need. Lord continue to carry them through during this tough period as we know, You will never forsake us... and all these we pray,

Amen.

@ Brunei Week 1

It has been 5 days since I've reach Brunei Darussalam, Temburong. Well, there are many things to focus on. But the main 2 things are:

1) Clear my Silver
2) Clear Jungle Confidence Course (JCC)

Well, I do alot of self training for the past 5 days. All running... Because I had my leg injuries, training myself up needs more time... Running trackmill... up/down slope... until backside all cramp.. haha... I had successfully cut down 2.5KG in the last 5 days. How I do it? Basically its running and skipping dinner...

My Instructor prep course (IPC) will start next Monday. I'm looking forward to it. It will be tired and shack.. But I see it as training myself up for the upcoming JCC... One thing good about being here is the training here is focus. I had my own personal bunk, air-condition. I can read my Bible and do my own prayers in my little cozy room. haha...

Last time as a trainee and OCS Instructor, I always got to fly up here every year for 3 weeks of training... I always cursed and swear whenever I come here... No entertainment, no life here... But now, 1-1.5years as a perm staff! Seriously, This place is the last place or posting I will opt for... When my superior asked me if I'm interested to go to Brunei, I straight away say yes! Everybody says I'm mad...

I had some difficulties even before I come here... I failed my dental FFI... I got to get my tooth fixed! Even after I got it fixed, I might not be able to go too... My Sister said,"If it is God's Will for you to go to Brunei, You can sure go... Don't worry so much...."

Now that I'm here, I will do my best, and let God do the rest...It will be tough... Really tough... But since God put me here, I believe He will carry me through...

Friends, continue to pray for me... For safety and strength... I really really need it.

See you guys in February next year... I will miss you all... and of course my dear family members too...

Presenting, One of the 7 Wonders of the World - The Great Wall Of China! Hey Hey!! Not this wall of course! haha... Been there, done that, conquered it! Liked what they say, "Bu Dao Chang Cheng Fei Hao Han..." It means one who goes to China and never visit and reach the peak, you are a weakling... Not a Hero... hahaha!!!

This Pic was taken at "Tian An Men" Square... It is also near to the Forbidden City *Zhi Jing Cheng"... There is a freaking huge Chairman Mao pic hanging there... How to describe? Damn typical China lor...

China people really respect their country and Chairman Mao Zi Dong... Don't believe? You just stare at the Chairman Mao Pic, act angry then spilt saliver on the floor.... See you can get out of that area alife anot...haha... People asked me, myself spilt on the pic itself... My answer is - Your Saliver can reach that pic, I salute you.... haha

Just outside the forbidden city... Last time during the Ching Dynasty, all the guys who are poor sold themselves to be "Tai Jian", serving the Royal Families.... Behind me is where the poor guys got their balls chopped off! They call it, "Jing Sheng Fang"...

There are many other places to visit in Beijing too. There is also the Beijing Zoo, Tea City, Book City, IT/Electrical City, Spectacles City.... Shopping mall like - Nu Ren Jie (Women's Street), Xiu shui shopping centre, Ya Xiu shopping mall...etc... Their DVDs are cheap and good! buy it! haha...

Beijing 07 Part 1

This is the corridor of my Sister Beijing house. I'm liked living on the 37th floor, 5-room condominium... Shiok! I think the name of this building is "Xing Chen Guo Ji Da Sha." Its located in the CBD area. The Chuang Shi Ji actor ( plays as Ye Rong Heng) or rather the Ex "Xiao Hu Dui" member, Wu Qi Long also stays here. Haha...

This pic is taken from the house. Nice view! No buildings blocking it.

Everybody knows about Beijing Roast Duck. There are many places in Beijing which sell the famous "Beijing Kao Ya." But which is the "original" one? Or the most tasty, most fagrance one? Ladies and Gentlemen, the above pic shows it all. My Brother-In-Law and Sister has brought me to many different places to eat Beijing Duck... I find this place is the best!

Taken with my Dad, Mum and Sister. A place call "Shi Hua Dong." One piece of advice... Inside the cave is cold and it took us 2hrs to finish the walking the wet and slippery trial... The tour guide sucks.... Did not even do a proper head count before he began... Long story... haha...

Alright... This would be the last movie review I'll be doing because I'll be leaving for Brunei for a year... Presenting, Movie Reviews 10!!

1) Flashpoint : Jun Ma, a serious crime detective sergeant has been working on to crack a triad of three brothers; Archer, Tony and Tiger for years. He planted a mole, Wilson to infiltrate into the gang. Over the years, Wilson started to have more disagreements with Jun Ma. During a gang confrontation, Wilson's identity was exposed and Tiger died during the battle. Tony destroyed all the evidence. The only person left to bring Archer to justice is Wilson...

My Rating and Views : 9/10. I love this movie and I'm willing to watch it again! The characters are great, Donnie Yan fighting skills... Solid! Its actually a typical boys' movie... Non stop action. Louis Khoo plays an undercover in this movie... Of couse, some of you might say, Donnie Yan like "Pa buey See" (direct translation: beat won't die...) liked that... Ya lah...its true... but come on! If he dies then I think 50% of the audience will walk out already! I will be part of the 50%.... Watch it guys!

2) Secret : SECRET is Jay Chous directorial debut that deals with the memory of first love. This is the first day Lun is admitted to Tamkang Secondary School. When he walks around the campus, he meets Yu (Kwai Lun-Mei) in the music room who is playing a mysterious piano solo. The two become intimate friends and spend a lot of time together. Whats the melody you played the first day we met? asked Lun, Thats my secret. Yu whispered in his ear. One day, Lun asks Yu to meet him at the music room. But accidentally, they did not meet and Yu never shows up again. It seems that Yu has disappeared from this world. Later, Lun gets a photo of Yu, but what surprises him is that Yu is standing next to his father, Chiu (Anthony Wong) on the photo! The secrets behind Yu and the mysterious melody are going to be unlashed...

My Rating and Views : 10/10. WATCH IT WATCH IT!!!!! Notice all my movie reviews, I seldom rate 10/10 movies. Be it a guy or a girl who watch this movie, they will be touched..At least in someway or another... During half of the movie, I made a wild guess that the female lead, Kwai Lun Mei might actually be dead right from the start of the show... I'm correct and also, incorrect as well... I can't say much about this movie as I might spoilt yur mood if you intend to watch it. Besides the movie "Happy Brithday", this is another romantic movie, NOT TO BE MISSED! Now i know the "secret"... Do you? Watch it and you will know! Haha....

3) Alone : Pim buries her past in Thailand and starts her new life with a caring and lovable husband, Vee, in Korea. Their marriage life seems to be all too normal with a decent and stable job, great friends, etc. All seems well - That is before Pim receives a telephone call from Thailand. She is informed that her mother has fallen very ill due to a yet un-diagnosable disease. Pim and Vee travel back to her hometown to be by her mother's side. From the first moment she arrives in Thailand Pim experiences extremely vivid flashbacks of painful memories that she has tried so hard to forget. But there is something different about these flashbacks. The flashes conjure up a sense of innate warmth that is similar to the feeling of "someone" close to her. Pim finds herself constantly haunted by these lingering feelings of attachment that compels her to confront her deep dark emotions that eventually lead her to remember that she has a twin sister. Now as her memories slowly comes back and the pieces of the puzzle begin to start to fall into place Pim eventually recognizes just what that innate sense of warmth is... It is the feeling of being attached to another person by an organ that bonds two lives in such a way that she could never be free. But that would be impossible? What had to be done was finished; ended along time ago. Unless...? Pim is not alone!

My Rating and Views : 7/10. I watch this movie because its from the director of "SHUTTER." But sad to say, this movie is very predictable... Unlike Shutter which will give you the goosebumps after watching it, Alone does not have this effect on me. Because there is a slight twist in the end, I rated it 7/10... If not it will be 6/10. Not a $9.50 movie. But still can watch.... acceptable...

4) The Bourne Ultimatum : Matt Damon returns as the trained assassin Jason Bourne for the latest showdown in The Bourne Ultimatum. In the follow-up to 2002's The Bourne Identity and 2004's The Bourne Supremacy - the smash hits that have earned over $500 million at the global box office - acclaimed director Paul Greengrass (United 93, The Bourne Supremacy) joins returning cast members Julia Stiles and Joan Allen and new additions David Strathairn, Paddy Considine and Edgar Ramirez.

My Rating and Views : 8/10. Quite silimar to flashpoint...All the fighting skills, action pact movie. I still like episode 1 - Bourne Identity. This movie sums up all 3 seasons. I find it abit wierd to see Matt Damon in action... I think its because I watch Ocean's 12, 13... He's so useless in Oceans! But so stylo in Bourne movies... haha... Still worth your $9.50. Watch it!

Thats all folks... I wanted to watch Rush Hour 3... But i guess I can't make it in time to watch it... It should be the same as Rush Hour 1 and 2. Will try to watch it before I leave on Saturday... But am already contented to have watched Jay Chou's "Secret"....

The "Noodle Story"

As promised, today I'm going to blog about this "noodle story". Its called the Cross - Bridge Rice Noodles (Guo Qiao Mee Sian). I'm not very good at translating the story into words.. BUT I'll try my best. This short story goes...

There was once this scholar who isolate himself into a house not far off from his home, preping himself for the upcoming Imperial Examinations. His wife will without fail, deliever the food she prepared for her husband... Whenever she brings the food over to him, she would have to cross a bridge in order to reach her husband's studying hut. Because the bridge is built across the river, the cold and strong wind will make the food cold by the time she cross the bridge, reaching her husband's hut. Of course, her husband was unhappy as he was studying hard, but still had to eat the "cold food" his wife prepared...

At last, the wife thought of a solution to solve this problem... She just prepare all the raw meat, eggs, vegetables, noodles..etc.. all raw and placed them one side. She then boiled the soup and pour it into a bowl... the secret lies here... she added a thin layer of oil on top of the soup to trapped the heat from escaping. She try again...

This time round when she reached the studying hut, the soup was still boiling hot! It was so hot that when she instantly pour all the noodles and ingredients into the soup and stir it, all the raw food is cooked! The noodles are not "fat"...the ingredients are fresh!

Of course, the husband is happy... haha...

Now the next question, which you all might asked... (at least my Brother-In-Law asked that..)

Did the husband top the Imperial Examinations anot... hahaha....

Come on guys! The story is not about the Imperial Exams right??!! Its about the love and support his wife had shown and showered upon her husband! haha

There are a total of 5 different noodles set... the 4 is stated in the above pic. the 5th set is on pic 1... the Xiu Cai Cross Bridge Rice Noodles.

This are all the ingredents to be added into the hot bowl of soup!

The end result! It is so big a bowl that i can't even finish it! The soup is hot and frangrance (Zhen de hen Qing Xiang..) ingredients are fresh... One Singlish to describe it - SHIOK!

I Love Her! / Goh Family 3G Transformation!

Lots of things, good things are happening to our family! I call it the "Goh Family 3G Transformation!" wahaha... I'm not wrong in saying that! My Brother and Sister-In-Law "transform" to Dad and Mum, my Mum and Dad became Grandparents, My Sister and Brother-In-Law becomes Auntie and Uncle, also soon to be Mum and Dad... myself? I've transformed! - An Uncle!! Haha... Below is my elder Brother's daughter, Germain Goh Jie Min. I'm really excited to see her after i come back from brunei... 2nd thing is my elder Sister is pregnant too! Its also a girl! My Brother-In-Law is so happy and excited! I too am happy for them and is also waiting for the arrival of my Sister's baby girl! I just love babies so much! haha...

Gosh... Look at her! She looks just like my Brother! She got my Sister-In-Law eyes and lips! haha... She will grow up healthy and become a smart and pretty girl! I'm ready to tutor her if she has problems in her studies! haha....

Welcome my dear Niece! Borned on 01August2007. I felt scared at 1st to carry her because I'm afraid that I might break her hands or neck! wahaha... She so fragile but cute. When I see her, I just got to carry her! My Niece!!

My secondary school friends' gathering! Its my buddy, Frederick Chan's birthday! We went to Hillman Resturant and eat. Of course, ordered his favourite food - Chilie Crab! haha...

I noticed that I only posted my Car pictures during the accident I had last year... Here! My car Pic in "one piece!" haha... I choose not to cover my carplate number because I did not offend anyone... Im so friendly! haha... I will miss my car when I'm in Brunei...

Very soon, I will post up some pictures on my Beijing trip in June. I will also share with you guys about a "noodle story" my Sister share with me when we ate it at the noodles resturant. Some of you might heard it...

I will be leaving for Brunei in 3 days. I have been trying very hard to meet all my close friends before I go. This Friday will be my Secondary School friends gathering. There are 2 person in particular I wanted to meet very much.

Especially 1 of them. If you are reading my blog now, remember, SDM also must rest. Work hard, but please rest well... Congrates on your promotion to SDM. Pan Yue called me to go down and support you... But I can't... sorry... I got Fieldcamp and was not able to go there and support you. Saw your friendster Pics... You looked so confident in your black suite! As you said... 1 year later then say... Have not go to Brunei yet but so many things to look forward to after I come back...Arrgg...

I will used all these factors to push myself on in Brunei...

Movie Reviews IX

Well, It has been a long time since i've last blogged. Many things had happen and many decision to make. But I'll still like to start off with the Movie Reviews IX! Well, there goes!

1) Transformers : Our world will be transformed when aliens make Earth their final battleground in "Transformers." As the forces of evil seek the key to ultimate power, our last chance for survival rests in the hands of young Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf).

My Rating and Views : 9/10. This long awaited movie is not like the rest of the Marvel Heros movies. It has a good story line and the action never stops from the start till the end of the movie! Watching this movie, especially hearing all the "transforming sound" makes you remember of the Transformer cartoon which boys never fail to miss, spending the 30mins watching... My favourite Toy and character in Transformer, the Bumble Bee is just so cool in this movie! I too love the Lieutenant and the Weapon Specialist in the movie! A movie not to be missed!

2) Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix : Fearing that Hogwarts' venerable Headmaster, Albus Dumbledore, is lying about Voldemort's return in order to undermine his power and take his job, the Minister for Magic, Cornelius Fudge, appoints a new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher to keep watch over Dumbledore and the Hogwarts students. But Professor Dolores Umbridge's Ministry-approved course of defensive magic leaves the young wizards woefully unprepared to defend themselves against the dark forces threatening them and the entire wizarding community, so at the prompting of his friends Hermione and Ron, Harry takes matters into his own hands. Meeting secretly with a small group of students who name themselves "Dumbledore's Army," Harry teaches them how to defend themselves against the Dark Arts, preparing the courageous young wizards for the extraordinary battle that lies ahead.

My Rating and Views : 7/10. This is the 5th production of Harry Potter. I still prefer the 2nd episode, Chamber of Secretes and the 3rd, Prisoner Of Askaban... This movie is abit draggy and not as exciting as the previous four. Professor Dumbledore plays a very insignificant role this time round... Of all the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, Professor Snape is the best person to act for this character, compared to the Lady in this episode, Professor Dolores Umbridge... If you are not a "Harry Potter" Fan, don't borther watching it. Watch the 1st 4 episodes 1st to arouse your interest... If you watch this episode straight, you might get turned-off.

3) Simpsons The Movie : It takes a wide screen to fully capture Homer Simpson's stupidity, and, THE SIMPSONS MOVIE does it. In the eagerly-awaited animated feature film based on the hit TV series, Homer must save the world from a catastrophe he himself has created.

My Rating and Views : 9/10. Alot of people find that it is pretty lame to watch the Simpsons on the big screen. But rest assured, this movie is worth your $9.50! It is funny and cute. You will just kept laughing from the start till the end. I agree that some of their jokes are quite lame... But come on! Bring out the humour in you! Watch it! Enjoy it!

Work Hard, Rest Hard, Play Hard!

I totally wasted my day today... Slept the whole day! Woke up at only 3pm, brush my teeth, packed my bag and go for a swim! I went downstairs, wanted to drive to the swimming pool... Don't know why, i've decided to jog there instead!

The weather is really burning hot! By the time i reached there, I'm sweating like nobody business! To make things worst, the swimming pool is filled with people! But still, since i've already arrived there, might as well "dip myself" into the pool! haha...

When i was observing the people in the pool (I love to observe people), i notice that my primary 3 swimming instructor was right there!! I still can recognise him as he is the only instructor who wear a sunglass into the pool, teaching his students be it a sunny or a rainy day!

I smile at him and said,"Sir, do you still remember me? I was once your student when im primary 3!" haha...He smiled and asked for my name. Obviously he had forgotten who i am as he had taught thousands of students in his career. We chatted quite awhile until i had to leave. We ended off with, "It has been 13 years? Or more??...." We laughed.

Well, when i got back home, open up my 300 DVDs collection and choosing which one to watch. Then my colleague SMS me, asking me if I can lent him the movie OCEAN 11 and OCEAN 12.

I was liked," Thanks for helping me in selecting the movies!" hehe... I too decided to watch them so as to recap the 2 movies before catching the upcoming OCEAN 13.

Well, thats all for today... Next week fieldcamp and commissioning parade... another saturday "burnt."

It has been near a month since i've last blogged. Really really am very busy for the past 3 weeks. All the fieldcamps and Live Firings are really tiring all the Instructors out...

Today is the Main Event of this week, OCS LEADERSHIP CHALLENGE 07. I'm glad that it when on smoothly today. Definately there are hic ups along the way... But last year experience made me a better conducting officer for this year.

This week is a good week for me as well! On Monday, I am the Duty Officer for OCS. Before i took over duty, Commander PA called me at 0730 hrs, telling me to report to his office at 0900hrs! I got a shocked! I kept asking his PA what happen? She refuses to tell me... Kept saying,"Sir, what have you done? Just come up and see Commander. Please don't be late.." I began to wonder if it is something i've done wrong... When I went up, its actually presenting of Promotion in Grade (Lieutenant Grade 2, with effect from 1 NOV 07) to Lieutenant 2! Wa liew.... But am happy of course!

Don't know why, i suddenly had the "kick" to find old friends through friendster, wanting to catch up with them. Searched through the list... trying real hard to remember their Surname so i can add them into my friends list. There is one particular friend i'm trying to get contact with...

Its kind of funny... One fine day, when i felt that my room is damn messy, i started to packed it. As im clearing up my drawer, i saw a postcard with a friendship band made by a close friend. But to my dismay, she left me her "updated pager number!!" gosh...

She used to be an ex colleague when i'm working during my secondary school days at American Chillies Resturant (Orchard Parade Hotel branch). I type her name (she is Cybelle by the way...) in friendster, search... and THERE SHE IS!! But... she restricted her profile and "disabled" her message mode... Time really flies... It has been 11years since we last chatted or paging each other through "Alpha Numeric service?" hahaha!

Well, anybody wants to join me for Shrek 3 tomorrow or this weekends? Its been sometime since i've step into the cinema!

This week is really tiring but am happy as well. Really looking forward for my Beijing trip on mid june. Anybody want anything? call me!

Movie Reviews VIII - Part 2

1) Nightmare Detective : A Japanese detective investigates two mysterious suicides, somehow connected as the two victims dialed "0" on their mobiles moments before their death. The detective comes to learn of a man who has the supposed ability to manipulate people's dreams, and if the case is going to be solved, the detective succumbs to the realization that she must dial the mysterious "0" herself...

My Rating and Views : 5/10. Japanese horror movies seems to be disappointing, as compared to Korean and Thai horror films... This movie is exciting at the start where it shows that this kid has the power to enter into people's dream, helping them solved their problems and save them when he has too... But he suffered from some side effects and doesn't want to "see" anymore tragedies from happening again... towards the center, i nearly dosed off... towards the end, I fliped... The ending is difficult to understand if you failed to watch the meaning... The killer is liked one uncle who drink coffee with one leg up on his chair at any local coffeeshop... Theres no style in the killer at all... (Compared with Light in Deathnote...). In short, don't waste your time... Go and watch 200 Pounds beauty for the 2nd time is so much better....

2) The Hills Have Eyes 2 : What started with the Carter family, clearly didn't end with the Carter family. As part of a routine mission, a unit of National Guard soldiers stop at a New Mexican outpost only to find the isolated research camp mysteriously deserted. After spotting a distress signal in a distant mountain range, the team decides to commence a search and rescue mission into the hills. Little do they know that these are the very hills that the ill-fated Carter family once visited, and that a tribe of cannibalistic mutants lies in wait. And this time, there is an even larger force of evil at work that is intent on the soldiers' very destruction.

My Rating and Views : 8/10. Before I start, let me reassure you guys that The Hills Have Eyes and The Hills Have Eyes 2 is not linked at all... its just that the same monsters, hiding in the Hills, Tunnels and Mountains, killing men and raping girls... Part 1 is all about a family having a family outing and was stuck in the middle of nowhere... Part 2 is a group of Soldiers on Mission (basically petrolling) where one by one they got killed and one lady is raped... The killings are as gruesome and disgusting as part 1. I think part 1 is nicer... You watched part 1, You will get angry... You watched part 2, not much feelings and anger towards the "monsters"... watch both and you will know what i mean... But still, not a bad movie to catch!

3) I Am A Sex Addict : Autobiographical filmmaker Caveh Zahedi has made a cult career of his unabashed willingness to be vulnerable on camera. I Am a Sex Addict, a comic reconstruction of his ten-year struggle with sex addiction, is one of his most ambitious, hilarious confessions yet.

My Rating and Views : 8/10. I promised to review on this months ago...Now, there is it! I did not catch this on the big screen but on a DVD which i borrow from a friend of mine... It is a very interesting movie... It talks about how this fucker goes around looking for prostitudes and ONLY wanted a BLOWJOB! He goes home feeling guilty about it and TELLS his Wife! At 1st, his wife forgive... then He did that again, feeling guilty and TELL his Wife AGAIN! His Wife cannot take it any further and divorced him. Then he remarried... He told his 2nd Wife about it... His 2nd Wife "don't mind" and even follows him to prostitudes' house! At last, she became a drunkard... He stops his 2nd Wife from drinking but failed...until she flared at him and tell him off.... saying why does he goes to prostitude but not to her.... divorced again...then show ended when He got married again the 3rd time.... Ladies and Gents...this is a TRUE LIFE STORY which really happen to this IDIOT.... Pretty interesting! He really shows the pictures and short clips of all his ex wives / relatives during the show...to proved that this movie is a real life story... Did a researched on him... this Idiot really exists....

Well friends, thats all for the moment. I will be going for outfield next week and my whole week is burned.... anyways, not much good movies to watched right now... the only one worth waiting is Spiderman 3.... Stay tuned for more reviews yah?! Take care and have a great week!

Movie Reviews VIII - Part 1

Hi Guys! Sorry for the late reviews because i'm very busy these 2 weeks. I will review all 6 movies at one go. (Will break them into 2 parts). Here goes, Movie Reviews VIII - Part 1...

1) Turistas : A group of international tourists seeking fun and adventure in Brazil get a lot more than they bargained for in the suspenseful horror film TURISTAS. Written by first-time screenwriter Michael Arlen Ross and directed by John Stockwell (BLUE CRUSH), TURISTAS, the first American film to be shot completely in the South American nation, is set in the Brazilian mountains, where Alex (Josh Duhamel); his sister, Bea (Olivia Wilde); and her best friend, Amy (Beau Garrett), are preparing for an eco-tour. But when their bus crashes, they are stranded with a group of locals as well as a handful of other tourists, including Finn (Desmond Askew) and Liam (Max Brown), two Brits looking for fast times and hot women, and Pru (Melissa George), a beautiful Australian traveling on her own who takes an immediate liking to Alex. In the middle of nowhere, they find a little oasis in a surprise sandy bar, where they get to know each other, drinking and dancing until they wake up the next morning, having been drugged and robbed of just about everything, with all remnants of the bar gone. They walk into an unfriendly town, but the only person offering any help at all is Kiko (Agles Steib), who might not exactly be leading them to safety.

My Rating and Views : 2/10. This movie is disappointing. The plot is lousy and its not scary either. Really nothing much to comment about. It is not even worth a $7 ticket. The only thing which lure people to watch is either a movie goer liked me or the scary movie poster which kind of give people the feeling of a "horror movie". Trust me, its not. Only some cheap trills here and there...

2) Shooter : “Shooter" is an action-packed thriller starring Mark Wahlberg as Bob Lee Swagger, a former Army sniper who leaves the military after a mission goes bad. After he is reluctantly pressed back into service, Swagger is double-crossed again. With two bullets in him and the subject of a nationwide manhunt, Swagger begins his revenge, which will take down the most powerful people in the country.

My Rating and Views : 8/10. This movie is exciting and really worth your money. The plot is good. Although is a typical kind of "Ex - Militarian being put back on a mission" kind of movie, its still worth your $9.50. What to looked out for is the different weapons he is holding. His impressived sniper skills and clear headed mind when he wants his revenged or rather, clearing his name for himself... Not a bad movie to catch!

3) 200 Pounds Beauty : Hanna is a lip sync vocalist for Ammy, the famous Korean pop singer. Even though Hanna is always ignored due to her appearance, she has always been a bright and happy girl until Ammy humiliated her in front of Sang-jun, the one she secretly admired. Finally, she made a life-changing decision: to have a major cosmetic surgery… Will this move, will her unrequited love get any return?

My Rating and Views :10/10. Oh my god.... This is a MUST WATCH movie! Yes... People might say it is liked the Andy Lau and Sammi Cheng (Love on a Diet - Shou Shen Nan Nu) movie, but still, its good! Its funny and meaningful towards the end. The songs sang are great! Ave Maria, Star, I Miss You Much, Standby Me, Heaven Is A Place on Earth...etc... are all the songs sang in the movie! Great voice, handsome and pretty actor/actresses... One thing which shows very clearly in this movie is how differently ladies are being treated when they are "Fat and Ugly" vs the "Slim and Pretty..." haha... hmm... Very true... Watch it! Buy the Soundtrack OST! Its definately worth your money!

Movies Review VII

Seems like more and more people are reading my blogpage. Haha... Over the past 3 weeks, friends around me kept asking when is my next Movie Review going to be up. Movie bloggers even invited me to join their "team"! haha.. I am very busy with training as the course just kick off. Things just began to settle down abit. Finding time to blog this Movies Review VII. But, i never stop watching movies over the weekends! There goes!

1) Meet The Robinsons : Lewis is an orphan who dreams of finding a family. His journey takes an unexpected turn when a mysterious stranger named Wilbur Robinson whisks him away to a world where anything is possible…THE FUTURE. There, he meets an incredible assortment of characters and a family beyond his wildest imagination, The Robinsons, who help lead him on an amazing and hilarious adventure with heartfelt results.

My Rating and Views : 7/10. Many people think that I'm mad... the comments i get is, "Wa lau...watch cartoon!" But guys, i tell you.. Besides My all time favourtie, The Lion King and The Little Mermaid, this is the 3rd "cartoon" movie i will recommend you to watch. Its kind of interesting, heart-warming and educating. Take away this mental model that cartoon sucks! If you think Shrek is a nice movie, this one is better...

2) The Number 23 : The psychological thriller "The Number 23" stars Jim Carrey as a man whose life unravels after he comes into contact with an obscure book titled The Number 23. As he reads the book, he becomes increasingly convinced that it is based on his own life. His obsession with the number 23 starts to consume him, and he begins to realize the book forecasts far graver consequences for his life than he could have ever imagined.

My Rating and Views : 9/10. Jim Carey is slowing moving away from his comedian character in the movies... In this show, he is more "serious". I love movies with a little twist towards the end. This show just keeps the excitment going . I love the part when Jim Carrey almost finishing reading "The Number 23" book, he found out that the last chapter is actually missing... This part keeps all the people really excited... As much as Jim Carrey wants to know the last chapter, we want to know it too!!! Watch it! Definately worth your money!

3) TMNT : Strange events are occurring in New York City, and the Turtles are needed more than ever, but Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo have become lost and directionless. With the city at stake, it's up to Leonardo and Zen Master Splinter to restore unity and ninja discipline to the Turtles.

My Rating and Views : 4/10. When the start of the movie shows that Shredder was dead, I disappointed... When i saw the Turtles, they seems to shrink... Small bodies with big face... The turtles are not united at all... Doing their own thing and stuff... My favourite character, Donatello, did not really use his brains or invent any impressive equipments to fight their enemies... Tell you the truth, halfway through the movies, i sleep... Really boring until towards the end. Don't waste your time and money... If you really want to watch "cartoon", choose Meet the Robinsons instead...

Alright guys, these are the 3 movies for now. I had already watched another 3 movies. They are 200 Pounds Beauty (A must watch movie!), Shooter and Turistas. This weekend, i will also watch The Hills Have Eyes 2 as well. I did not forget that I'm supposed to review on this movie called, "I'm A Sex Addict". Ok, thats all for now...Stay Tune!

The Anchor to One's Heart

It has been near a month since i've last blog. Kind of busy with training. Yesterday went to meet up secondary school friends to have dinner/movies with them. When i walk pass this M1 shop, I cant resist but to apply the internet 3G Vodafone Mobile Connect (now im using it...haha). Super useful for me as there is no internet connection in camp. After which, met up with Ah Heng and chatted with him till 3am... Woke up at 5am, followed my Dad's taxi to camp as my car was in workshop...

After 2 weeks of confinement of the cadets, today is finally their Parents Visiting Day. Parents came flooding in like nobody business, asking for directions, carrying big/small bags, sweating away... Just to see their sons... It reminds me of the past... where 4 years ago when i'm a trainee, I too, am waiting impatiently for my parent's arrival...

Now I'm standing here as a liasion officer for my 100 trainees, making this event as smooth and as memorable for them as possible. Thats my job for today. Although this is the 3rd time I'm doing this as an instructor, it still never fails to bring back memories of the good old days... Believe it or not, its very heart-warming.

To me, Family always play a stedfast role in our life... i called it,

"The anchor to one's heart..."

Besides my movie reviews, it has been sometime since i last "blog"... Well, these 2 weeks, i'm busy with my work, tieing up some loose ends... Yesterday was on Commissioning Parade duty as well... Here are some of the things i've done for the past 2-3 weeks...

1) Meeting up with Mike and Desmond for dinner and Mahjong Session.
2) Meeting up with Serene for dinner at TM.
3) Went in to JB to buy Movie Posters (Deathnote), wash car, eat and pump petrol, body massage (clean one ar!!)
4) Polish my car
5) Watch my DVDs/VCDs
6) Met Angela at Jurong Point for lunch
7) Packed my room
8) Celebrating my Dad's 60th birthday at Jumbo Seafood Restaurant

I find this picture damn funny.... My Dad looked like a preying Mantis with his hands stretched out on the dinning table, getting ready to strike on his prey... the cake... Hahaha!!!

This is our yearly Chinese New Year visit/gathering at Aunty Diana's house at Sengkang East. This is one occassion where all of us will gather together, eat steamboat, catching up with each other and after that, a "Blackjack session"... haha...Hope we can meet up more often yah?!!

I will continue and see what God has planned for me... 26th March is the intake my new batch of trainees. 1x Foreign trainee already reported to me last Friday. Lets see how is he going to work with our Singapore trainees. Well friends, pray for me...and wish me luck!! hehe

Movie Reviews VI

Hi Dear all!!! Sorry for the delay... But the Long-Awaited Movie Review VI is out!!! Hope I'm not too late... There goes!!

1) Letters From IWO Jima : Sixty-one years ago, U.S. and Japanese armies met on Iwo Jima. Decades later, several hundred letters are unearthed from that stark island’s soils. The letters give faces and voices to the men who fought there, as well as the extraordinary general who led them, Tadamichi Kuribayashi (Ken Watanabe). With little defense other than sheer will and the volcanic rock of the island itself, Gen. Kuribayashi’s unprecedented tactics transform what was predicted to be a quick and bloody defeat into nearly 40 days of heroic and resourceful combat.

My Rating and Views : 7/10. This movie lasted for 2hrs 30mins... It is not very impressive. Newspapers rated this movie 4/5 stars... To me, its ok only... Maybe because I'm an Infantry Officer, I find that some parts are really a big screw up and should not happen at all... Subordinates defying orders, communications failed big time... The General don't even know where are all his guys... Soldiers just kept retreating from base to base, not knowing what they are doing... etc... But one thing to comment is Japanese soldiers have really great fighting spirit and the never say die attitude... They rather committed suicide than surrender... Maybe thats their practice but i find it real stupid...I'm asking myself, "Why don't they retreat to gather a larger amount of fighting force and do a counter attack? Since they are not allowed to leave this Island and all are ready to die..." Especially when the SAF is going into "Thinking Solder,3G Army." Some actions they did kept me wondering... Watch this movie, recruits and cadets from the army should enjoy it. For ladies, I dun recommand this movie to you because you ladies "can't feel" what they are going through... Maybe I'm sterotyping...Don't believe? Watch it!

2) Ghost Rider : Based on the beloved Marvel comic, this live-action drama with stunning visual effects follows biker Johnny Blaze (NICOLAS CAGE) on his journey from stunt rider to agent of Mephistopheles.

My Rating and Views : 7/10. Marvel Comic movies always managed to "lure" people to watch but its really not that impressive. The only one I find it interesting is Spiderman. I find that this movie is abit "draggy" because only until almost half of the movie then Nicolas Cage became the Ghost Rider... And the bad guys die too fast... Towards 3/4 of the movie, the movie "spice up" alittle as there is another Ghost Rider still surviving from the devil! For a moment, I thought they are going to tag team and bash up the bad guys! But to my dismay, the "1st generation" Ghost Rider only sent Nicholas Cage to the front line of the battle, and left... Super turn off... To me, this movie is not worth $9.50 at all...

3) Just Follow Law : The film takes a satirical look at the inflexibility of outdated governmental rules and regulations and the rigid mindsets of civil servants who follow rules to a fault, charming and delighting audiences with its humorous and perceptive insights.

My Rating and Views : 8/10. Another Jack Neo's production! Success! I watched it with my family on Chinese New Year Eve. Its really funny! Especially when I'm working in the government sector and i can fully understand what they are trying to deliever... Fann Wong is really cute and funny! She really bring the ah lian out in her! haha... When she cursed "Nar bey" in the movie, I nearly flipped off from my seat! haha... Emails are very sensitive... They deliever it so well! I can really really relate it back to my work! especially when I got to realy so many emails in a single day due to my jobscope right now... One wrong intend in your email will cause lots of "uncessary trouble" later on... Watch it! Recommand strongly for it!

4) Epic Movie : Numerous big budget movies are parodied in EPIC MOVIE, with the central narrative allowing its cast to poke fun at films such as CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY, NACHO LIBRE, SNAKES ON A PLANE, and many others.

My Rating and Views : 2/10. Don't even borther to watch this... I trying very hard to laugh at all their lame jokes... Scary Movie 1,2,3 and 4 is funny. But this movie is trying too hard to mimic Scary Movie... Wate time waste money... And just for your info, its only 1hrs 20mins... Gosh...

Alright guys! Thats all! I will post up movie reviews VII as soon as possible. I will even try to review on some DVDs which I've watched. One movie i will review on the next movie review is "I'm a Sex Addict." Pretty Intersting movie!

Hello everyone! As promised, the Movie Reviews V is up! Many catched ups and meeting with friends for the past 2 weeks! Time files huh... Things i did for the past weeks are,

1) Meeting up with secondary school friends
2) Send Jess off to Shanghai
3) Send Chee Peng off to New Zealand
4) Watch 3 movies
5) Went to my grandfather's "49 days" of his passing (can't find a better phase for it)
6) Wash my car
7) Went to Sentosa with Ah Heng and Sihui to chill out
8) Meeting with Angela at Tangs to shop for her friend's birthday gift
9) Had dinner with Angela at Lawrys (Paragon)
10) Bought Phantom Of The Opera Sistic tickets(26April07, 8pm) - Super excited!
11) Finished my planning of Training Programme for the incoming batch
12) Meeting with Serene for dinner/supper/movies ("happy birthday" - will review on that)

Hopefully next week will be better! Alright, below are the reviews of 3 movies which i've watched for the past 2 weeks. I hope it will not be too late in reviewing them yah? Alright guys, read on!

1) Protege : Undercover officer Nick (Daniel Wu) had spent the last eight years penetrating into the core of a drug sales ring working his way up from a street dealer post to the managerial position handling cargo deliveries for Jong (Andy Lau) - the biggest player in the local heroin market. When the ailing Jong makes Nick his protégé, Nick could not but sway before money and power and starts to perform his role like a real drug trafficker. This, together with his affair with heroin-addict Jane (Zhang Jingchu), causes Nick to becomes more and more confused about his true identity, and eventually leads to a disastrous end.

My Rating and Views : 8/10. I seldom watch Chinese Movies. I will only buy DVDs or rent them if i wanted to watch. I watched this movie is simply because Andy Lau is acting. haha... this movie does not really impress me alot. A typical chinese movie. Andy Lau trains Wu Yan Zu, and Wu Yan Zu turns out to be an undercover... Then he catches all the bad guys.... this movie is abit funny as well... Listen to what Andy Lau has to explain for "Why people liked them who sell drugs are not at fault. It is actually the addicts who are to blame instead of them.." Haha... The ending of the movie also let us wonder why Wu Yan Zu wants to try drugs... I interpreted my own. Well, its your imagination to end this story.

2) Babel : Richard and Susan (Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett) are a wealthy couple from San Diego who are vacationing in Morocco in order to heal after the death of their young child; their other two children are at home with their Mexican maid, Amelia (Adriana Barraza). In a complex shift of ownership to which the audience is privy, a rifle finds its way into the hands of a local herdsman's young sons (Said Tarchani and Boubker Ait El Caid), who recklessly take a shot at a tour bus and catch Susan in the shoulder, causing her to nearly lose her life. The distraught Richard calls home to tell Amelia of the situation, who promptly departs for Mexico to attend her child's wedding, with Richard and Susan's children in tow. Disaster thus multiplies, with the situation in Morocco ascribed to terrorists in the media, while Amelia meets with the harsh immigration policies of the Bush administration. Meanwhile, in Tokyo, a widower (Koji Yakusho) tied to the rifle in question attempts to deal with his memories and his raucous, promiscuous, deaf daughter (Rinko Kikuchi).

My Rating and Views : 6/10. Seriously, First Magazine rated this movie 4/5 stars... But when i watched this movie, i kept looking at my watch, wondering, when is this damn movie going to end....This movie shows the ending 1st, the the starting... piecing 3 to 4 different stories up into one whole movie/plot. the japanese story really no link. Show for the sake of showing...

3) Happy Birthday : It looks almost as an oath, Mimi (Rene Liu) would receive an e-mail from Nam (Louis Koo) every birthday, a guy that she never forget. But the e-mail is delayed 42 hours this time. Nam and Mimi once were lovers when they were University students. Mimi was afraid of losing Nam, therefore she suggested being "soul mate" with him instead. Eventually, they separated when Nam went abroad for studying. Nam has got many girlfriends but none of them could keep in good and long relationship, because his heart was stick on Mimi. Of course Mimi knew that and she couldn't leave Nam alone too. But Mimi strongly believed that not to acquire each other is the only way to keep romantic relationship forever and ever. One day, Nam told Mimi that he was getting married. From then on, Mimi would receive a birthday greeting from Nam every year. It was just like a clue to prove that love still exists between them. Only Mimi's friend knew that the greetings were not sent by Nam.

My Rating and Views : 10/10. I watched this show with Serene at Century Square. When she choose to watch that movie, i was worried that she will cry in the cinema... thus abit unwilling to watch (especially chinese movies, as mention above). But luckily, i watched it. haha.

According to Serene, this movie is based on Rene Liu real life story. When Louis Koo was interviewed, he mention, "Many a times, i nearly fall in love with Ruo Ying...I can't imagine this really happens to her real life..." I agree with Louis Koo... If this story happens to anyone, i don't think anyone can take it... especially the last part! The story is just too touching and excellent!

Towards 3/4 of the movie, i already kind of knew the ending... But i was hoping the ending will not be liked that! (that is the feeling i got at that time)... But still... Guys, watch it. For those who love romance movies, this is the show for you!

Im not telling the ending here... I will spoilt it... Watch it for yourself.I tell you, Rene Liu acting in this show is just excellent! (Maybe its because this is her story..thus she can relate to this MiMi character better). Well, i will watch it again if anybody wants to watch this movie! Enjoy!!

Obviously, this is not any movies...This is a place! Its at Sentosa, erm...i think near Siloso Beach. Went with Ah Heng and Sihui to chill over there after my movie with Serene. Find the place ok lor... But must go with bigger group then maybe more fun... Its unique where they got beds, sofa chairs all over the place...But the Bedsheets and Sofa is so wet and sandy.... some got Beer smell also...haha... Overall, nice place to go to lah...

Let Us Make A Difference!

Last saturday, i met up my secondary schoomates! Usually we do have a dinner session together and today, we had a "new member" joining us! Our dear Mr Goh Chee Peng! We went to Cuppage to had Japanese food and after that, to party world for Karaoke session. You know, I really appreciate my secondary school friends who always never fail to contact each other, making efforts to meet up or dinner/coffee.

Not easy to meet up because most of us are either working or studying. But its the friendship and the willingness of individual which bring us close together even after all these years. 10 years? haha... These days, not many people are still in contact with secondary friends ya? I thank God for them.

The guys! From the back in clockwise direction are Frederick, Chee Peng, Edwin and Myself! We are the few guys left "surviving" in our secondary school gatherings.

The whole gang! From the left is Myself, Edwin, Juline, Hui Hui, Frederick's girlfriend (Peijia - A super nice girl in character. Frederick is just one lucky bastard! hahaha), Frederick and Chee Peng. Most of us are hungry at that time and the serving is so small! haha...

Hmm.... When i looked at this photo, i was wondering... Edwin and myself has a stable career with relatively good income. Chee Peng is also an undergrad. 3 of us all not ugly looking either... Right?? haha... But why only one lucky bastard is attached?! hahaha...Ya! Ass! Im talking about you Frederick! haha...My best buddy. I think whats next is to attend your wedding dinner, 4 years down the road? haha... Happy for you. Hope all things goes well for you, be it studies or relationship. All the best!

When i looked at this photo, i was laughing away. NOPE! She is not my girlfriend! Its just that i think i look good in this picture thats why i post it up! wahhaaha.... She insist of taking a picture with me because i seldom dress liked that! Kaoz.... But true also lah...haha...i have no dress sense at all. HE Is Good/Mini Movie Review

Arrggg!!!! I'm blogging this for the 3rd time!!! I dunno what has happen to this blogsite as it kind of deleted off my blog!

The past few weeks has been a rough week for me... Friends have been trying to drag me out of my house but i refuses...Because i'm afraid my mood will affect them and i don't want and don't liked that... I try to keep myself busy by drowning myself with work and sports. I has been running, swimming, playing soccer and going to the Gym for the past 2 weeks... Sometimes, I even did all 4 exercises in a single day! I still got to rush out my training program somemore...

I'm afriad when i stop working, my mind will start thinking... Even when i'm alone driving to/from work/home along the expressways, the cars which passby me (Suzuki Swift Sport and Honda Civic) just reminds me of her... Her favourite Sandy Lam Songs playing in my car also reminds me of her... Places where we go together just reminds me of her... memories just kept coming back... It just hurts... I slept very little...I am really tired...body and mind is tired...But just can't sleep...

But HE is Good... HE sent friends to accompany me. HE sent close friends to counsel and console me.. In fact i did pray about it... Pray for good things to happen between me and her... But it just did not happen....Many people, including myself will ask,"Why..." Maybe HE is trying to mould me into a stronger person, letting me understand this is only so much a human can do. My own perseverance can only lead me this far... Maybe HE also want me to understand what is the meaning of,"Trust GOD, Let GOD..."

At last, i willingly went out last Friday, for a Mahjong session with my ex seconday school friends and my ex girlfriend. haha...

I want to thank my movie Kar-Kees for not forgetting me in our weekly Midnight "Saturday Movie Fever!" (I'm really sorry for not watching movies with you guys for the past near 2 months...Because I'm more willing to spend my saturdays with her... Im sorry ok...)

At first when Beng message me to watch movie, i was abit reluctant and don't felt like going because i'm afraid my mood will affect you guys... But luckily i went! I seriously enjoyed the movie! Yes... It has been 1 month since i last step into a cinema (ever since i watched Deathnote 2 with her). You may be wondering, a movie go-er liked me did not step into a cinema for the past 1 month???

The answer is, "YES...." Below is a Mini Movie Review. There goes!

1) Apocalypto : From Academy Award® winning filmmaker Mel Gibson (“The Passion of the Christ,” “Braveheart”), comes APOCALYPTO: a heart stopping mythic action-adventure set against the turbulent end times of the once great Mayan civilization. When his idyllic existence is brutally disrupted by a violent invading force, a man is taken on a perilous journey to a world ruled by fear and oppression where a harrowing end awaits him. Through a twist of fate and spurred by the power of his love for his woman and his family he will make a desperate break to return home and to ultimately save his way of life.

My Ratings and View : 10/10. A MUST WATCH movie. Excellent storyline and plot! So far Mel Gibson's film was never once, disappointing. This film is just worth your $9.50. Trust me.. I remembered many years ago when i watched "Braveheart", I waited impatiently for its VCD to be released... Same for now, am waiting impatiently for the original DVD to be release... I even felt that "Apocalypto" is a much better movie than Braveheart! Seriously, whoever watched this film and find that it is not worth your time/money, call me or leave me a comment in my blog with your account number, i will transfer you the money back into your account. (But integrity comes in strongly here lah...)

So far, according to my readers and friends, all my 10/10 movie ratings was never a disappointment to them... don't be the 1st one yah? :)

Lesson Learn.... AGAIN....

6 years ago, I'm broken....6 years later....same thing happen....But this time, more serious...

Right from the on start, lies are all around...Right from the start, there are just too many hidden truth which actually, must be put to light.

My thinking about choosing a partner is very simple... I must love her...and she "might be" my wife in future... If i don't intend to make her my wife at all, i will never start a relationship...That is all the while my thinking and believes...

Today is really a lesson learnt... I learn not to disclose my feelings freely.... i also learn that before going deep into a lady, I MUST FIND OUT MORE about her first....Her background... Her family, her past... AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, if she already had a boyfriend....

I am shocked after my conversation with her last night....when she said promise to call me back and as usual, did not return at all...

I post some questions...

1) If you are attached (with a boyfriend/girlfriend) and somebody or many other people is going after you.... Will you tell your suitors that actually you already had a boyfriend/girlfriend??

My answer is, i will tell her," i'm already attached to this girl...And i'm sorry.... can we be friends instead?" I will be frank and honest with her... But not having this mentally that,"Hey, shes not bad also... Hold on and see how things goes.." Friends, this is selfish in thoughts and character. Do not do that...

2) Will you allow someone to French Kiss you, hold your hands freely and hug her tight with love when you already had a boyfriend/girlfriend?

My answer is no!!! How can i french kiss someone when i am already attached? I mean, i must be accountable to my girl!! If my girl do the same to me, can i take it?? The fact is, i cant. In fact, nobody can! Let me tell you...By you allowing this to happen, the person will be mislead! We are not Americans for heaven and goodness sake! We are Asians! Don't tell me its normal. If its normal, Go and french with all your guy friends then. Not to me.

To RL: Be fair to me yah? As you said, right from the onstart, you are already attached.... You did not tell me you already had a bf right from the start and you are allowing things to happen... What are you thinking? Because i'm nice and true to you thus you want to "hold on" to me??Don't deny because you admit it last night over our phone conversation. You said i will have my chance.... Which was explained by you that it actually means just in case things don't work out between you and Mr J or now, Mr C, I might have a chance...

WHAT DO YOU TAKE ME FOR?? SPARE TIRE?? Come on! I think i deserve better... why? because....

I AM TRUE AND SINCERE TOWARDS YOU ALL THIS WHILE..... i think i deserve likewise from you too.... Don't i????

If right from the start you told me you already had a bf....things will be different.... Because of your zero in honesty and integrity, you caused hurt.... if you think you had been dropping hints? Yes, you did... but is only these 1 week.... your hints are not hints at all.... Just be frank next time...

Lesson learnt....I will be smarter the next time... I'm hurt but i will get healed...No need to pity me...for i kind of brought it upon myself....

I thank you you for admiting to me that you "had feelings for me" WHILE YOU ARE ALREADY ATTACHED... Any thanks, lesson learn.....

Don't Do That Again...

Fire fighting for today had ceased finally...Tomorrow is a Saturday and I AM GOING OUT!!! So happy because im going out with a person i wanted to go out with for sooo long!!!YEAH!!!

Well, i had just deleted a blog from my blogpage UNWILLINGLY because of a comment someone wrote to me... Yes, you won. You had succeeded in making me angry and confuse for awhile. I am not going to pursuit this matter anymore because right from the start, i know what i wanted. This, i am very clear from the on start. Pls don't be so childish as in wanting to declare "war", writing things that hurts my feeling and bringing me down. You are a nobody to me at all!

I DON'T NEED YOUR APATHY NOR SYMPATHY!! BECAUSE I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHO YOU ARE!

But i admire you. You when all the way to track me down just to sent me a "hostile" comment with Perfect English... But i don't give a damn... I thank you you for that i'm being tested this way and i still managed to keep my cool... From this incident, i know i can keep myself cool and be more patient.

BUT

I strongly encourage you, not to do that again... DO NOT PUT ME TO A TEST...Yes, I can be patient with you this time...But not the next time... I did nothing to offend you thus i'm not entitled to received comments liked that, especially from you. Even my Superiors don't dare to do that to me because they know what kind of person i am and can be... Grow up, be a man and do the right things... For you are not young anymore...

You can learn something from me... if you are wrong, admit and apologise. Thats a beauty too, in case you don't know...

Complaint blogger/karaoke session

Hiee!!!! Here i am in my blog blogging again! Today is a very tired day for me...many things happen in work...In short, i guess i just got to change my attitude a little yah?

Friends who know me, know me best... The way i talk to friends, colleagues, subordinates and even the person i love is entirely different... I then to be patient to my friends, super patient and understanding to my love ones BUT when i start changing into my green uniform, i talk in another tone and attitude... hmm...spilt personality! haha...

After work, i drove home, wash my car, went to pick up a friend and head straight to party world for a karaoke session... Damn tired actually... but i promise to turn up, and there i am!!Although i sang only one song, but i kind of enjoy hearing the others sing....All are pretty good singers! Some old songs were sung...nice listening to old songs at times!

On my way home, i drove pretty fast.... i need to reach home fast as i had some work to be completed and got to be handed up by 8am today... Arrggg..... Just because of one incident and i caught in this position.... sick and tired at times.... Well, i can do it!

Decided to complaint abit on my blog before i start work...hahah... 1x coffee and 2x red bull is beside me now...tomorrow still got to go to NUH for my appointment...

Tired... yawn.....Zzzzzzzzzzzz..........

2nd Blog In A Day

Yup, Im in with more photos again. Yesterday went for a run in the middle of the night and go to East Coast Beach.... Really too many things borthering me and i can't sleep at all. I happened to watched a DVD series, Desperated Housewives Season 2. Yup, i bought it. Initially a very dear person to me once said will lent me. But the DVDs are not with her and i don't want her to go back to a place she doesn't want to go at all just because of me... thus, yup! Bought it!

I saw a part in DH where Bree, refuses to wear her engagement ring. I smiled at it...And it reminded me that my friends ring is with me! Thus went to search high and low for it. Called her up, she said in CAPs, "Its somewhere NEAR YOUR BED." I pull out my heavy king size bed to checked if the ring drop somewhere deep inside. Still can't find...at last, due to anger...i broke my bed... Long story short, parents questioned why there is a ring and demands me to get the bed fixed by today...

Yup! Thats just my Honda Jazz Sterring wheels and Speedometer. Nothing impressive. Ya ya ya...i know i will never match up to all the fucking civics.... My interior sucks...No need mention, i know that...But again, the purpose of a car is to get you to your destination for heaven and goodness sake... There is such thing call TRAFFIC LIGHTS! My next car should be an Accord anyways...I used to like civics... Yup...no more civics! But i still love my interior...and sound system! hehe...

Movie Reviews IV

Dear all.... Sorry once again for the super delay in this Movie Review IV.Many incidents had happened which kept me pretty busy. Well, maybe got to change my title from movie reviews to "Movie Ratings"! haha.. Anyways, there goes!

1) Casino Royale : James Bond is a new recruit at the MI6 team. He's reckless and careless and on a mission. After just earning his 00 status with his first 2 kills he is sent to the Bahamas where he is to verse Le Chiffre in a game of Texas Hold 'Em Poker. Although Bond must ensure that Le Chiffre's death comes at the hands of his own people.

My Ratings and Views : 6/10. As mention above, this movie tells you how Bond got his 00 status. There is no bulletproof and remote controlled BMWs, no mini gadgets and stuff. Its just how he "solved" his cases with everything he could without using his bains... The start of the show was Bond, hoping and jumping around, trying to apprehen a bad guy. Towards the end of the movie, he become "Chow Yuan Fatt"... Became the ultimate, God of Gamblers... Can renamed this show as, "007, The Beginning."

2) Colic : Pear and her boyfriend, Pongpop, moved to the suburbs for a more relaxed lifestyle after learning of her pregnancy. Soon, their son, Pan was born and everything about him seems normal: except for the ear-splitting screams. Pan will cry and scream non-stop everyday and was eventually diagnosed as having colic, a sickness which is marked by chronic irritability and screaming. Months past and Pan’s Colic didn’t recede in fact it got worse and no-one seemed to know why. This is when Pear began to notice bizarre phenomenon which occurred while Pan was crying and what they are about to find out will haunt them for the rest of their lives….

My Rating and Views : 7/10. Quite a nice movie to catch. Horror movies story plots are standard. They are more or less the same. The only horror movie which had a slight twist is Shutter, a thai horror movie. For horror movies, as long as it made your hair stand, it achieved its goal. Watch this movie with a very dear friend and her family members. From their reactions, it say it all. a nice one to catch. OH YA! before i forget, there is this part where the husband is talking on his handphone, He said this word, "Kan Ni Nar!" In the subtitle, it shows "call u back"...Hahaha...i laugh and laugh throughout the whole show after that. Catch that!

3) A Battle Of Wits : A lavishly-produced historical drama from China, A Battle of Wits tells the complex story of a lone warrior whose mission is to save a besieged walled city from the savage attack of a 25,000 strong army. Late in the 3rd century, when China comprised seven rival kingdoms, Ge-Li – an remarkable savior in rags – stands alone in an endangered city waiting to fulfill his destiny. It is an impossible battle however you look at it. But here is a lone man willing to climb every mountain and cross every river just to get to the city of Liang with only one aim: to deliver Liang from the overwhelming threat of the Kingdom of Zhao in her battle against the Kingdom of Yan. Ge Li is the last Mohist in the Warring States period of China. Facing him in the field are thousands of swift chariots ad many thousands more mail-clad soldiers. His battle will be the loneliest battle in the history of war. No battle has ever been this unmatched in strength. Would this one man alone be able to change the destiny of Liang? On the surface, this is a battle for which bloodshed would be inevitable. But in reality it is also a battle of wits. A struggle between power and desire: between a ruler and those being ruled. A message of anti-war through war itself.

My Rating and Views : 9/10. A nice movie on War and Strategies. In OCS, we always want to teach the cadets what is "channeling method." This movie says it all. Nice plot but the ending about anticlimax... Its all about Love... Watch it and you guys will know what i'm talking about.There is this foreigner who was caught and at last used by Andy Lau. Listen to his conversations... Haha....Damn funny... Well, I watched this show twice. Says it all.

4) Deathnote 2 - The Last Name : Light joins the task force searching for Kira in an effort to avert suspicion from himself and also, to get rid of L. The mystery deepens as another Death Note with its shinigami, is brought into the human world. A second and third Kira complicates the mystery. Making things even more unpredictable are the ‘Eyes of Death’, given to the second Kira, enabling the owner to know the true identity and lifespan of any person. Who would get hold of the ‘Trump Card’ which would determine the outcome of events? And who will be the Last name?

My Rating and Views : 10/10. Yes folks. Deathnote 2 pretty well sums up the whole thing. The characters, plots and storyline are just great! I just love L. His smartness and wits just impressed people. I'm already downloading the animations! Light is kinda smart, in the way he can manipulate the whole thing and caused the death of a Deathgod. He could have won, but he miscalculated.... watch it, enjoy it!!!

Well, there are many other movies which i've already watched. I will keep you guys updated! Many things to get sorted out today. If got the time, i'll blog later or tomorrow...

New Year New Start

Hi all! It has been some time since i've last blog.... Many things happen at the same time. Thus, tired and busy.

It has been near 2 months since i've last posted my movie reviews and update my blog. Rest assured, i will get it done up nicely by this week.

Just want to take the opportunity to thank all those who made it down to my grandfather's wake. I really appreciated all of you guys. This really really proved something... well, at least to me lah. For those who cant make it due to certain reasons liked going to get married or just got married, i understand. No worries at all yah?

Thinking back, its kind of funny...now wierd... My Grandfather passed away on my birthday, 24th December 2006. To me, this day is the day where I am born, Eve of Christ's Birth and now, my grandfather's remembrance day...

Well, we strongly believed that my granfather is with the Lord this Christmas!

Many things to think about (Which i don't know what is exactly happening), many things to get sorted out (which i actually can't) and many things to worry about. But still as it is, life goes on. Someone very dear to me once told me before in chinese,

"There is no such thing as without you, I can't live or I can't live without you..."

In the working society for near 5 years, I've finally understood this... I still got a career, still got family, got a car to pay, my saving/life insurance to pay till its due (hopefully) haha... and theres GOD...

Work started today. Routine Life started all over again... Guess its time to put my time and effort on my job once again. Get on Fire! New Year, New Start!!!

Movie Reviews III

Here comes the long awaited Movie Reviews III!!! I'm very sorry for the late information as i'm kind of busy with my stuff these few weeks. For the following 4 movies below, only The Prestige and DeathNote are showing in GV Cinemas now. There are afew other shows I've watch already. The Covenant and The Guardian i've too, watched it already. But in the mids of watching The Guardian, I fall asleep... Sucks.... I'm just too tired that day... Well, I will watch it again! Alright guys, there goes....

1) The Prestige : From acclaimed filmmaker Christopher Nolan ("Memento," "Batman Begins"), comes a mysterious story of two magicians whose intense rivalry leads them on a life-long battle for supremacy full of obsession, deceit and jealousy with dangerous and deadly consequences. From the time that they first met as young magicians on the rise, Robert Angier (HUGH JACKMAN) and Alfred Borden (CHRISTIAN BALE) were competitors. However, their friendly competition evolves into a bitter rivalry making them fierce enemies-for-life and consequently jeopardizing the lives of everyone around them.

My Rating and Views : 7/10. The need to prove to each other as to who is the better magician made this movie worth watching. This movie is abit slow and bored during the start. What made this movie interesting is the slight twisted at the end of the movie. Some may love this show, some may find it boring. To me, a good movie!

2) DeathNote : Shinigami, the God of Death, dropped a notebook in the human world where a weary genius picked it up. “The human whose name is written in this note shall die”, it said. This was the notebook of death that determined people’s death. Light Yagami, an extremely bright elite university student was the one to possess this ultimate tool that should remain only in the hands of God. Light decides to create an ideal world and begins to hold the scales to judge the criminals in his discretion. Meanwhile, ICPO (International Criminal Police Organization) has placed a mysterious detective called “L” in the Japanese police force to investigate the series of criminal dying suddenly. “L”, having solved many unresolved cases in the world, begins to tighten the investigative screws over these cases. But Light cleverly manipulates the notebook of death to toss and shake off the investigation. The future of mankind is at the mercy of this crucial and fierce battle of the two brains.

My Rating and Views : 9/10. Excellent movie, execellent plot wih 2 very stylo characters acting in this show! Deathnote originally is from a manga, a japanese comic book. The Shinigami, God of Death is damn cute and funny..haha.. He should be appointed as Apple God instead of Death God. Character Light and character "L" is damn smart! I love "L" more because of his "bo charp" pattern/character but a super observant and smart fellow! Especially the last part where "L" was eating the chips which Light ate... Smart....(those who watch this movie will know what i'm talking about). Part 2 is coming out soon. Can't wait to watch!

3) The Departed : The story takes place in Boston, where the state police force is waging war on organized crime. Young undercover cop Billy Costigan Leonardo DiCaprio is assigned to infiltrate the mob syndicate run by gangland chief Costello Jack Nicholson. While Billy is quickly gaining Costello’s confidence, Colin Sullivan Matt Damon, a hardened young criminal who has infiltrated the police department as an informer for the syndicate, is rising to a position of power in the Special Investigation Unit. Each man becomes deeply consumed by his double life, gathering information about the plans and counter-plans of the operations he has penetrated. But when it becomes clear to both the gangsters and the police that there is a mole in their midst, Billy and Colin are suddenly in danger of being caught and exposed to the enemy — and each must race to uncover the identity of the other man in time to save himself.

My Rating and Views : 5/10. The moment i watched this show.... My hair all stand... Felt abit disgusted... The whole freaking show is exactly the same as Infernal Affairs 1. I knew it even before i watch this movie. But i thought they might change the plot alittle... But no! Its the same! Why i felt funny and disgusted? Guys, imagine Jack Nicholson is Zeng Zhi Wei, Leonardo DiCaprio is Liang Chao Wei and the worst, the ugly and gay looking Matt Damon is Andy Lau!!! I felt sad for Andy Lau.... Enough said...

4) Rob B Hood : Brought up in an impoverished family, and kicked out of school in his teens, Thongs found himself on the wrong side of the tracks despite being nimble-footed and neat-fingered. Spurned by his family and hounded by debtors, he is goaded by his greedy landlord to collaborate in harebrained heists. Together with the agile and opportunistic Octopus, the trio kidnaps the baby grandson of a tycoon. However, due to some unexpected glitches, they fail to hand him over to the triad as planned.

My Rating and Views : 8/10. An interesting and funny movie. Its quite educational to a certain extend as well. Its another typical Jackie Chan's action Movie. Worth watching too.

Well, I've watch The Covenant already as well... I will update it on my Movie Reviews IV as soon as possible. Thats all folks!

Last whole week is a busy week for me. Many things and packings to do... At last, after 3 batches of TCOs (i'm the 4th batch), below is my working table, after packing...Whats missing is my laptop. I even force my clerk to pack and swept the whole office! Going to come up with a system very soon. I need to re-org and think hard about it before i'll let my guys know what i intent to do for the near end of course and for the next workyear as well.

As mention in my previous blog, this are the pictures of all the crash cars. Went to buy 4D after that. But did not stike at all! Waste my money.... haha. Still felt sorry for Rach... hmm... What a day... Only until today i called my workshop and they say they just ordered my parts and will arrived only on Monday... Sian....

The 1st car! Only some minor dent and crack... Anyways, just received his insurance claim from me, called the workshop lawyer and demand to reject his claim even! Told him to claim the 3rd car! If not will affect my NCD next year...

For Heaven and Goodness Sake... But felt abit sorry after i scolded the daughter until her eyes became watery and she went to their damaged Lancer, took out her sunglass and put it on......haiz...girls... Cannot take scolding... Always expect people to Sayang them...WTF....

Ladies and Gentlement... Ta Dar!!! The Front and back of my beloved Honda Jazz! Looked!! My whole bumber must changed! The right side of my door also dented abit. Lucky my head and tailights are going strong... Don't care...I'm going to change the whole thing. If my $1500 sport rim kenna any scratch/damages, i'll change them too! My $2000 Sound System if affected, good luck to the both of them. Amen...

Sleepless Nights with A Troubled Mind

It has been a long time... Really long time, since I last puffed near to 3 packs in a single day..

It has been a long time... 5 years...since I lasted dated another person...

Its has been a long time... 5 years...since I lasted enjoyed the companionship of another lady

It has been a long time... 5 years...since I lasted asked a girl to be mine

and

It has been a long time... 5years...since I have sleepless nights with a troubled mind.

2 must learn to be frank, trusting and truthful to each other before 2 can progress

This is a lesson i've learned from my past relations.

But why some people just don't understand this simple theory? Is it to hard to comprehen?

No....

Maybe they are just uncomfortable about telling their partners too much about their past...

Maybe they want to be certain that this guy/girl is their ideal partner before they can disclose their darkest secrets to them...

or maybe Its because they have a very bad experience with their partner in the past...

BUT

Whatever one does... one got to know that for certain issues, it must be made known and not be hidden in their darkest corner of their heart.

Whatever one does... they must learn to be truthful. Let the other party decided what is good for them... as they are old enough to decide...

Althought one is very disappointed with the other... but one is still hoping... hoping that the other will call and just be truthful for once. One is willing to listen if the other is willing... For one is serious with the other...

Car Accident!!

My Gosh... Yesterday had a freaking car accident... Seriously, i don't care about how bad was my car damaged or how much am i going to pay for the repair fees... The thing is, Rach is inside my car!!!! When i turn around and see her, shes liked, stunned!

The 1st thing which came to my mind is,"If shes hurt, the front and the back car drivers will be dead..." I asked if shes ok, i straightaway get off from my car, and scolded the both of them.

The whole incident is as such. While travelling along Tampines Ave 2, the front car jam brake as his front car came to a sudden halt because of a bicyclist whom just dash across the road. I managed to come to a stop in time. 3 seconds after, a Mitsubishi Lancer just ramp onto the back of my car!! i extended my hand towards Rach straightaway to minimise the impact on her... I went down, i scolded the front driver. But the 3rd car driver came down and told me off saying, "You know how to drive anot!"

I straightaway told her, "Auntie, i will FULL CLAIM You!"

Actually its her daughter who drove the car... who pass near 2 months ago! She even admitted that she did not even step her brake padel as shes too panic to react! I was like, oh my gosh...you are so freaking Kelong! I was given a replacement car to drive after my car was towed away. A Toyota Altis 1.6.

I still love my Honda jazz...

Anyway, i will listen to Rach more.... I will give signals before i change lane, check my blindspot and drive at a slower speed.... :)

The above only applies if you are sitting beside me! haaa. I'll be more careful in future. I promise! Sorry again for your neck because of the accident. Will make up to you next time! And thanks for being so supportive and even tried to comfort me a little, telling me to cool down and stuff... But trust me, I'm angry with them because i'm really afraid that you are hurt... my god....

I took some pictures of all the 3 damaged cars. I will insert into my blog the next time i blog. I hope my sportrims and my car systems are intact. My woofer even went "out of place" when the accident occurs...

Hi all, just for your info, i maynot be logging into the msn as often anymore because i sold my laptop away to my colleague. I will be getting another laptop at around december period.

Chicken Soup for the Soul has always been one of my favourite "educational book". There is one particular story which i loved it alot and want to share with you guys. I cannot remember word for word but the story goes liked this,

There was this couple Rick and Rachel. They were in a relationship for 2 years. But for the past few months, they seems to be quarreling frequently, even for trival matters like what should be the colour of their bedroom! Rick just cannot understand why Rachel was so demanding out of the sudden while Rachel is pissed off with the change in attitude in Rick. Soon, the both of them felt that there is a need to solved all their issues and miscommunications. Finally, They both sat down and began to communicate.

Rick suggested with a method. He said, "since we cannot communicate with each other well, why don't we just each take a piece of paper writing down all our shortcomings and expectations of each other? We will then exchange them and have a good look at it."

Rachel agreed. She started to write,

1)Please be at home on time for dinner when i cook for you
2)Flush after you used the toilet
3)After you started on this new job, you did not spend quality time with me
4)There are no surprises from you anymore, compared to last time. Life is so routine!
5)For goodnees sake, stop snoring in the when you are sleeping. I'm tired too!

and the lists goes on.... But to her dispair, she noticed that Rick right from the start only wrote afew words, folded the paper and smile... this pissed her off further as she thought that he is not interested in resolving their issues together. But she continue writing...

When they finish writing, Rachel gave him her paper. When Rick read it, he was very disappointed and just looked at Rachel without saying a word... Rachel was getting impatient and agitated. She asked, "So these are your problems! What is mine?!" Rick sadly handed over his paper to her...when she read it, she just when over to hug Rick, and wept...

There were only 7 words in Rick's paper...

"I LOVE YOU FOR WHO YOU ARE..."

Guys, this is a simple lesson on relationship. To maintain a relationship is never an easy task at all. There will definately be ups and downs in a relationship. I always hear my Superior say this, "When in doubt, always fall back on your Mission. You will never go wrong..." I can just rephase his sentence for this case... "When in doubt, always fall back on why do you want to make him your bf/gf/husband/wife in the 1st place..." This question alone will trigger your thoughts and hold back your temper. And also, communication is important in a relationship.

Remember, the word RELATIONSHIP comes from the word RELATE!!

Kind of Wierd...

Hi all... It has been sometime since i've last blog. I'm just so busy with my work. The moment i step into the office, so many things to do, follow up and confirmation of stuffs.

This week i've good news and bad news... Good news is, I heard from my colleagues that my ranking going to be above average this year. Thanks to my Superior who fight for my ranking. If next year nothing goes wrong, I shold get my upgrade to Lieutenant 2.

Bad news is, my Superior is going to change. From what i heard about him, he is super demanding and his standards are hard to meet! Im quite worried here because i'm still condsidered new to the job and my upperstudy, CQ, clerk, storeman, admin spec all going to leave or ORD soon... I still got many questions to ask and many things to learn... The feeling is like i've just commission and assume command as a platoon commander in the unit. Lost... blurr...

Today i took a 1/2 day leave to sort out some problems. Tired as well....

For the past 6 years of single life, its kinda wierd that one short there are 2 ladies who fall for me. But there is the 3rd...whom i wanted to go after. So many things wanted to tell her, so many things wanted to sort out together with her. Its even more wierd to blog it down here. Not my style at all....

Let nature take its course... Maybe im not the one? :)

Home Sweet Home!!

Finally! Im home! I took many pictures during my trainning and R&R at Kaoxiong/Taipei. Below are the following pictures to share with you guys!

I brought my clerk out for a short 5km run and we climb up this mountain call "Gui Shan" (turtle mountain) Where i am is the peak of the mountain! It overlooks the whole river. The wind there is so strong that it could blow u off anytime!

This is my camp canteen. Made friends with the canteen owner, ah leong and ah bing. They are nice people who even brought me out for dinner during my R&R stay at Kaoxiong. There is this instant noodle brand called "Yi Du Zhan". This instant noodle is super good! Never ate such a nice instant noodle before! I even bought a carton home!

It is believed that woman who touch this prick will give them good luck and they will bear sons for their family... Well, i personally dun care about all these. as long as its my child, i will love them! I took this picture because its damn cute and funny! Our trainees were laughing at us when we took this!

This picture was taken at Kenting. Behind are my storeman and clerk. We really had a wonderful nights out that day! Nothing much at Kenting area... just when for drinks and buy roadside store food.

I'm Coming Home!

Finally! Ladies and Gentleman...IM COMING HOME!!!!

Today i did the last cohort meeting and after my briefing to my cadets on the R&R and Flight details, i will be at Kao Xiong and Taipei, enjoying my R&R!!

Super overspend again as usual... Got to cut cost already... Or else when back in Singapore, my car drinks water...

Phew....overseas exercise over... I managed it through with the help of my colleagues and Superiors. Thank you for all the advice and guidance! I really appreciate it all. Thank god for giving me a clear mind to work for the past 2 weeks. Amen!

Not an easy task at all guys... My feelings now is liked taking off my fieldpack after 30km route march! (The guys will know what i mean) Felt damn "light and relieved"

I received emails from a friend of mine. She sent me some songs which she mention,"these songs best describe my feelings now.." When i heard that all the songs she sent, true enough, it reminds me of some past... In fact, i particularly love this song "If you don't know me by now"

Excellent lyrics, excellent music plus super smoothing to the ears....

Guys, download that song. Those people of my age will know this song. Sure to hear before! This is a late 80s or early 90s song... I listen to it 4 times straight!

Thank you Jacelyn for sending me this "long lost" song. Next time we meet, this song will be in my ipod and will be played in my car ya? All 4 songs! Its a promise!

Well, i will not be blogging for the next 4 days because its kind of difficult to find internet cafe in Taiwan. Especially now Taiwan is so chaotic.

Foot Massage

Days in Taiwan pass by very quickly because of the high training tempo here. Trainees are already going into their final phase of training here in ROC. After that is post admin follow by Nights Out at Kenting and R&R at Kao Xiong/Taipei.

Nothing much to blog today as i'm kind of in a "brain-locked" mode. But today, one of my Warrent Officer did foot massage for me! He learn this skills for his wife's illness, as he heard foot massage can help in blood flow, curing certain sickness and tiredness, etc... I'm really impress with him and his attitude towards work and family. Everytime after each conversation with him, i can learn many good values liked how to be happy, making oneself relax and seeing things from a different angle in life. Whenever he see me so stressful during work, he will just ask me, "What happen ar Sir? Can i help?"

Guys, trust me... Sometimes when you give comments liked that will make a person's day.

His conclusion on me after my foot massage was,"Sir, you have not enough sleep. You need to chew your food slowly and allow your body to digest as your intestine is weak. Your shoulder and shoulder blade is too tight as well. Must take care if not old age will have problems... There is acute pain in the right part of your body as well..."

Yes, i have not enough rest. This everybody knows. I had to eat fast because i am always rushing for time in order to meet timings. But the shoulder blade and the right side of my body part, I'm shocked! Because my shoulders are always hurting. My right foot got some kind of an "extra bone" growing out causing me pain during my runs and my right arm got nerve problems! I did not tell him at all!

I began to tease him with my next question,"Encik, are my balls working?!!" hahahaa

We laugh liked nobody business. My superiors also laugh... From that day onwards, all my colleagues began to ask him for foot massage! haha...

More or Less Settle Down!

At last! After 6-7 days of chaos due to the handing and taking over of stores, plus the high training tempo running con-currently, all the training programe, indents and cohort meetings has more or less stablize. Got last 3 things to worry about.

1) Indents for Ex Homerun and Finale
2) Cohort End of Frame reports & Post Admin
3) R&R (Allocations of Buses and 5 differrent Hotels plus planning of DO, Medics and Specialists Duties)

Will be going for a 5km short run with my colleagues today. After which i will join my Wing for Nights Off to Kenting. I will be back on the 19th Oct.

At last...got sometime to blog. Its already 11.20pm. Here, i got to plead the Taiwan Perm Staff to let me use the internet as they closed at 11pm! My intentions of going into the internet everynight? Waiting for a friend to reply my mails...

Ok...Got another 15mins before the computer auto shut off.

Just 5 days, so many things to do. I just told my colleagues, "i felt that i had been working for 1 week or even more already..." They gave me a wierd look. I don't know why i got abit fed up when i saw their expression.. i told them,"I can do your job! But not anybody can do mine! Don't believe? I propse to my Superior for a change in appointment..." They "pacify" me alittle... haha

Got lots of mood swing as everything is going so fast and indents can only be done 1 day in advance. I was so busy until i forget what day is it today.. I got to even go to the Airport to receive my General who is visiting our training frame in Taiwan!

My colleague was telling me that my chinese assent sounds like a freaking Taiwanese now! haha! What to do...got to collabrate with Taiwan "Ma-Lau" Drivers as well! hehe

Well, i'll be back on the 19th OCT. Those who know me can judge if i did change in my Chinese Pronouncation. Haa...

Taiwan 06

Hey guys! I've arrived safely to Taiwan. Life is damn tough as a TCO here... Meetings...Co-ordinating... Countless of paperwork plus all the indents... Driving me crazy...

At first I'm really worried as I'm appointed as the TCO of my Wing. Somemore overseas exercise! My upperstudy, Mike cannot come with us to Taiwan because he needs to clear his IPPT.. Worried for him... Wish him all the best even though I'm here.

Well, slowly, I'm getting used to all the scrambling and indents. The first 2 days is really chaotic! I'm really trying very hard not to call Mike as i agree with what he told me..

"Roger... sometimes you just got to learn the hard way..."

Getting pissed off as well because as i'm typing here, i only left 7mins to blog down my thoughts! I got to pay 10NT for 30mins of internet usage! Damn it! Hate being restricted!

Got to know a lady friend, J, who is in France now. My message to you:

Yes, i know what you are going through right now as i've been through all these before. But certain thing got to let go means you got to. I know its difficult. There are only friends to help and be there for you but ultimately, its you who need to pick yourself up. Your ex is not going to pity you! So, proved to him you can do without him! All the best! Call me when you had the time ya?

All the other parts laughed so hard and this made the asshole very mad.To prove his point, the a s s h o l e immediately slammed tightly closed and stayed that way for 6 days, refusing to rid the body of any waste whatsoever.

Day 1 - Brain got a terrible headache and cried out for relief
Day 2 - Stomach got bloated and began to ache terribly
Day 3 - Legs got cramps and became unstable
Day 4 - Eyes became watery and vision became blurred
Day 5 - Blood became toxic and poisoned the body
Day 6 - The other organs agreed to let the a s s h o l e be in charge.

2) A junior manager, a senior manager and their boss are on their way to a meeting. On their way through a park, they come across a wonder lamp.They rub the lamp and a ghost appears.
The ghost says, "Normally, one is granted three wishes but as you are three, I will allow one wish each" So the eager senior manager shouted, "I want the first wish. I want to be in the Bahamas, on a fast boat and have no worries." Pfufffff, and he was gone. Now the junior manager could not keep quiet and shouted "I want to be in Florida with beautiful girls, plenty of food and cocktails." Pfufffff, and he Was also gone. The boss calmly said, "I want these two idiots back in the office after lunch at 12.35pm."

Movies Review II (Continues...)

4) The Host : Food-stall owner, Gang-du (Song Kang-ho) walks out to the crowded Han Riverbank, when he suddenly sees a never-before-seen “something”, hanging from the Han River Bridge, and moving. The fascinated crowd around him start taking shots with their phones and digital cameras… until the “thing” climbs up onto the riverbank and begins to slash into the crowd. Gang-du has just enough time to witness the Creature snatching his daughter way and disappearing back into the river. Chaos reigns over Seoul. The Han River area is under quarantine. Gang-du receives a phone call from his daughter Hyun-seo, frightened but very much alive. Against all odds, with the help of his remaining family members, he plans to infiltrate the forbidden zone near the Han River and rescue his daughter from the clutches of the horrifying Creature.

My Ratings and Views : 7/10. This show is quite exciting. A thriller cum comedy movie. But if this show can break blockbuster office in Korea, i think the Koreans must really watch my all time favourite Japanese Movie, Ju On. Haha... This show is predictable. At certain point of time, it kept you in suspense. When you watched this movie, you just felt like slapping Gang-du (Song Kang-ho). I always told my trainees, "If you are a slow learner, its ok..can learn as time goes. If you are lazy plus stupid, I can't help you..and good luck to your days in OCS.." Well, this movie help me proved my point! Watch it and you will know what I'm talking about! Again, movie is movie lah... If there is such a creature swimming in our Singapore River, I think is either the whole Singapore will be wipe out or the creature will die...as our river is too small...Not enough space for him to swim and hide. haha..

5) Miami Vice: The cocaine cowboys of the '80s are gone, but Miami's Casablanca allure, the undercover cops and the attitudes of Michael Mann's culturally influential television series have been enhanced by time in the feature film version of Miami Vice.

Ricardo Tubbs (Academy Award® winner Jamie Foxx of Ray, Jarhead) is urbane and dead smart. He lives with Bronx-born intel analyst Trudy, played by British actress Naomie Harris (28 Days Later, upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean II and III), as they work undercover transporting drug loads into South Florida to identify a group responsible for three murders.

Sonny Crockett (Colin Farrell of S.W.A.T., The New World) ]to the untrained eye, his presentation may seem unorthodox, but procedurally he is sound] is charismatic and flirtatious until-while undercover working with the supplier of the South Florida group-he gets romantically entangled with Isabella, the Chinese-Cuban wife of an arms and drugs trafficker. Isabella is played by the Chinese actress Gong Li (Raise the Red Lantern, Memoirs of a Geisha).

The best undercover identity is oneself with the volume turned up and restraint unplugged. The intensity of this case pushes Crockett and Tubbs out onto the edge where identity and fabrication become blurred, where cop and player become one-especially for Crockett in his romance with Isabella and for Tubbs in the provocation of an assault on those he loves. Miami Vice, as a large-scale feature film, liberates what is adult, dangerous and alluring about working deeply undercover...especially when Crockett and Tubbs go to where their badges don't count...

My Ratings and Views: 9/10. Solid Movie! A MUST WATCH and its even worth it to watch again! The plot and the dialouges are simply marvelous. The characters, mainly Jamie Foxx and Colin Farrell is so suited for this movie! Their calmness, intelligence, their plot...everything! But as for Gong Li...She must brush up on her English and put on more makeup. Should ask Maggi Q to act for movies liked this.

Last But Not Least.... Presenting.....

6) Ju On 1& 2 : A Volunteer home care worker, Nishina Rika (Megumi Okina), enters the home of a bed-ridden patient and discovers a strange ghostly presence lurking behind a door sealed with duct tape. Her discovery unleashes a horrible evil which baffles police investigators, who find that a whole series of people have gone missing from this particular house.

Further Investigation leads to Izutni Toyama (Miss Uehara), a former detective who handled the case of a man who murdered his wife in the house, but whose son was never found. But when the angry “Ju-On” spirit of vengeance that has infected the house reaches beyond its boundaries to kill Toyama and his daughter, Rika realizes that the horror is spreading.

Worse, unless something is done about it, she feels she may become the angry spirit’s next victim!

My Ratings and Views : 10/10. This show has been my all time favourite! Especially Ju On 2, the plot and horror is just there! From the start of the movie till the end, my eyes kept staring at the screen and thoughts just ran wild! The Ju-On Boy is DAMN CUTE too (I know many will say im mad...). haha... I love him! Running around scaring people! But I will not like to have any encounter with his mother... shes just...fierce... There is Ju-On series selling at VCD Stores... You just got to watched that to understand Ju-On 1.

For Ju-On 2, You got to watch the whole movie, piece them up together in order to understand why this and that happens... Besides Ju-On, another movie i will strongly recommend is SHUTTER. Another fierce horror movie...But nothing beats Ju On yet... hehe (Im bias here..)

Must apologised to all my readers who read my blog.. I promised for this movies review 2 to be up by last week but I'm too busy settling my work and meetings. I hope Im not too late! I viewed Golden Village Website and the following movies are still screening. Actually i wanted to rate Monster House too. But it wasn't screening already...So...Anyway, there you go! Movies Review 2!!

1) Singapore Dreaming: “Singapore Dreaming” is a story about a family with big dreams, living on a small island.

Heavily in debt, patriarch Loh Poh Huat can’t help but feel bitter irony whenever he has to perform his job as a lawyer’s clerk – seizing goods from the homes of credit card debtors. At the end of his career and frustrated by the gulf between his middle class dreams and his working class reality, he takes his feelings of failure and envy out on his family.

So when Poh Huat suddenly wins two million dollars in the lottery, the Lohs start believing that maybe this windfall will deliver them from their struggles. But something happens which pitches the family into a battle where the stakes are the very meaning of life itself…

“Singapore Dreaming” is a poignant, yet darkly humorous story about a typical Singaporean family coming to grips with their aspirations. It weaves a layered and moving tale about a family dealing with loss, ambition and the search for what really matters in life.

My Ratings and Views: 1/10. A total waste of time. Supposed to be a comedy/touching show. But Funny not funny, touching also not that touching. But in this show, the mother is damn smart. Shes not that stupid after all. A slight twist towards the end. Guys, don't waste your money. Rent VCD.

2) LITTLE MAN : is a raunchy crime caper that likewise uses a grotesque fish-out-of-water scenario as its comedic focal point. Marlon Wayans plays the diminutive and unquestionably weird-looking jewel thief who poses as a toddler in order to retrieve a diamond he hid with the childless-but-trying couple Daryl and Vanessa (played by Shawn Wayans and Kerry Washington). Hilarity ensues as the movie runs wild with a slew of breastfeeding jokes, crotch shots, and scatological humor that recognizes no boundaries. When Calvin's boss, Walken (Chazz Palminteri), tracks down the little man and his new family to snatch the diamond that is rightfully his, the movie turns into a familiar riff on HOME ALONE: when a criminal is after you, hit him in the crotch. Calvin and Daryl join together to defeat the evil Walken and his henchmen, and in the process learn a little something about what it means to love and be loved.

My Ratings and Views : 7/10. A good to watch show for passtime. Its really funny and entertaining. Marlon Wayans looks real cute in this movie. You might be wondering, "Are they stupid or what... The baby looks so old! They can't see meh?!" Guys... we are watching MOVIES! Well, at least this show will kept u awake and laughing for the whole 98min. Give credit to that!

3) The Banquet : When her brother-in-law, Li (starring Ge You) ascends the throne after the King’s death, Empress Wan (starring Zhang Ziyi) agrees to marry him in order to protect her step-son, Prince Wu Luan (starring Daniel Wu). Convinced that his uncle has murdered his father, the Prince Wu Luan decides to return to the palace and take revenge. Everything culminates in a night banquet where all hell will break loose…

My Ratings and Views : 7/10. This show is pretty exciting and artistic. I think this show is going to win "the best costume" in Jin Ma Jiang. Guys, it is definately more exciting than "House of the Flying Dagger". I always love Zhang Ziyi acting in Martial Arts Costumes. She just looks stunning! The songs sang by Zhang Ziyi and Daniel Wu is nice too. For people who watch this show, you all might be wondering who killed Zhang Ziyi... Did a little researched on that. She is either killed by Daniel Wu, who might not be dead yet, (If you watch the movie, the arrow which killed Zhang Ziyi was used only by Daniel Wu) or she was actually hallucinating, fearing that she might get killed someday by Daniel Wu. A movie worth watching.

At last! its the weekend again! Super tired mentally by work and all the plannings i did for the past 2 weeks!

Just 3 days ago, i went to Jurong Point to have dinner with my colleagues. I pass by this TS VCD/DVD Shop, decided to go in and buy some HK Dramas to watch during the weekends. Suddenly at one corner, i noticed that they are renting out DVDs/VCDs too! Don't know why, without even looking at the movie lists, i asked the salesgirl, "Is there a HK Movie call Wei Si Li? Acted by Luo Jia Liang?"

My friends shook their heads and walked away... (They know who am I renting for...)

I smiled when i managed to rent it because its not available in the market yet. I quickly went up to the Popular Bookstore and buy Blank DVD Discs to burn for her... At last, i completed the burning of the whole movie at ard 4am... When I'm done, i wanted to message her to tell her i got the show for her. I took up my hp, stare at it for like 5mins, i put down... Set up my Safari bed and went to sleep...

The next day, she message me asking where am I? I thought she wants to call me out. But actually, shes just bored overseas... I entertain her abit, told her that i had found the show and burn it for her already... Disappointed once again...

Today saw her in msn and chatted with her for quite awhile... conclusion? I guess the answer to my question will always be the same... the ones which i hear it from her many times until i lost count but still hoping and praying something might happen someday somehow.

Well, i guess the problems lies with me... I should be clear about all these right from the start. I will draw a clearer line from her from today onwards...

Sincerely, i wish her well and all the best in Whatever she does.

For me, I will continue to excel in my career and be more focus! Friends, wish me luck too!

Reflection of my "doing" for the past weeks

It has been a long time since i've last blogged. Sorry to all "my readers" because I am really very busy for the past 2 weeks since I'm back from Brunei. Let me reflect what i had done for the past weeks since ATP.

After the 2nd day of Range, I was being arrowed to do Security for last saturday C/H Commissioning Parade. It last from the final briefing at 10am till near 10pm. After that, i went straight to meet my buddies to watch "Little Man". (Movie Reviews 2 will be out soon)After that i sent them back and go home zzzzz......

Sunday - I spend almost half the day doing my Emplanning Slides and also watch the HK Dramas which i've burned.

On Monday, I drove down to G6 to hand over my flight manifest. I was late already but still went to the canteen to get a cup of coffee for Mr K (The DXO in charge of my flight manifest). But to my horror, the canteen is closed!!! I know I'm going to have a "hard time with him..." When we saw Mr K, he stare at us.... to make thing worst, my clerk forget to put in the passport holders nominal roll!!! After all the "swaning" session by Mr K, i go back, shouted at my clerk abit... Make him do work and follow me to G6 the next day!

The next day, i went down to G6 with my clerk, grab a cup of hot coffe for Mr K. The moment he saw the coffee, He smiled abit... Although still got mistakes here and there, but Mr K offered to solved it for me and told me to come down to G6 the next day to collect the comfirmation flight manifest from him so AMC can process the rest of my flight.

Moral of the Story - PR is super important... Thoughts count... Simple thing like a cup of coffee can solved many problems! haha

This week, I'm busy with changing of training program for the month of September till November. My boss suddenly wants me to organise a farewell dinner session with all those instructors who are posting out. Had to find farewell gifts. Make Wing Polo T and buying of SAFTI Coin for trainees who did extremely well during the Brunei Navigation package.

The next day, The momet i step into the office, My boss was scolding all the appointment holders! The trainees claim that they do not know what is happening... I went to check with my PCs and they said that the trainees were being briefed on whats going to happen.. But information was not passed down. After my boss lecture to the trainees, i called in the Main appointment holders and give them a 2nd round of lecture. I printed out my amended training program and tell them to check back with me when in doubts! my exact words to them,

"If i need my boss to scold and shout at you until liked that... It just reflects that I am not doing my job well when infact, i am... it just also proved that you idoits are not interested... If you are not interested, I am not interested. If this were to happen again, i make sure all your heads will roll...before the Instructors head roll..."

Haiz...trainees...

Yesterday and today we went to Tekong to do the CSB package. the whole thing last from 6pm till the next day 11am. I was appointed as the Chamber Safety Officer for this CSB... A tiring night for us all...

Well, tomorrow is Commander's Parade... Got to change training program again and double check if i've left out any more indents...

Range Day 1...

Today is my ATP (Range). It is a very tiring day as this range is not an easy one. It is a time where every Serviceman is tested for their shooting skills annually.

I was appointed as the Assisting Conducting Officer for my Wing. Much was needed to prepare before a range can be conducted. I will not go into the minor details about the preparations (I’m not supposed to state it here…) portion as it will bored those who will be reading my blog, especially the ladies!

Working with my colleague J, who is appointed as the Conducting Officer is easy. He is in the force for a good 6 years and this makes him experienced enough to conduct this range. Besides we are good friends thus we can click easily and understand each other intends and concerns, “covering” for one another etc…

I’m very tired today because I spend some time to read up the lesson plan for the range. Sleeping at 3am and waking up at 6am, following the “advance party” to help supervise and set up the range with my Range Sergeant Major (RSM) is never an easy task. I only have 2 intends in my mind for this range,

1) Make sure all trainees and instructors pass the ATP
2) Make sure I’ll do better than last year in order to prove to my Wing Comd that I can actually
pass this ATP without much hassle!

The 2nd intend is that because I did badly last year and let him “swan” the whole freaking year! I tell myself, “This will NOT HAPPEN this year!” haha… Guess its my ego that comes into play again. I’m the kind of person who cannot “tarhan” comments liked the a/m.

Well, although I did not get Marksman, but I did above average this year, compared to last year. He kept quiet… But sad to say, one of my fellow Instructors failed the test by one shot! Same scenario as me last year! This time all eyes were on him! My superior said, “Last year I have Roger, this year is you…” Although my superior said it in a joking manner, I can feel my colleague’s anger and frustration. Because I had been through this, I went in with him as the Chamber Safety Officer cum Conducting Officer to guide him for the night range.

Yes, he passed his night range at last. But he still got another retest tomorrow for day range. I wish him best of luck!

Got to sleep on my safari bed now… Really tired mentally… Got to wake up at 6am again tomorrow, or rather, today. Pray for me for good weather and may God bestow on the firers, especially the retest firers strength in mental and physical. Oh yes, good eyesight as well! haha... All the best guys!

Came to a decision...

This week seems liked a bad week for me. Because of the new appointment I'm holding now, everything just seems not to go too smoothly. I must really brush up on my paperwork.

Well, today got into a little arguement with my sister... Its about the house again.... Sometimes, people must understand that i had my own plannings. I not refering to my Sister's suggestions (I really appreciate what she had done for the family) or what not... Its sometimes my very own relatives... They are always giving lots of suggestions but never once put themselves in my shoes... What adds on to it is I had an elder brother who "doesn't really seems to care much" about this issue at all. I am the youngest afterall!! Besides my Sister who is in overseas right now, why do I seems to be "handling" the family alone?

But through all these years whenever unpleasant things happened, I always tell myself, "God is showing me that this is a typical example I should not follow." or "These things happened because God wants to train me to be a more independant person. To build me up into a better family planner. So next time when I become the "Head" of my own family, things will not repeat again..."

I'm tired telling myself all these.....

People must really understand that all these are major decisions! I must think about it carefully because I'm not the kind of person who will only solve current problems 1st, the rest when the time comes then talk about it! I'm the kind of person who plan... I'm the kind of person who will ask myself questions liked "If now i take this step, how will it affect me or rather, us, in the long run...If this happens will I be able to handle?"

Anyways, after my conversation with my sister, I ask my mum for HDB pricelist and called up one of my friend who is a agent. I met up with her and ask if there is anymore solution to this matter... Her answer is quite clear..."Your parents is too old for another reloan..."

Well, i guess i had to put aside one of my goals (by 35, i will buy a condo..) and start my calculations once more.

When I'm on my way home, my mum called me at 4.30am and asked me where am I. Told her that i was on my way home but actually was at Pasir Ris Beach doing some thinking and reflections... After the conversation, I've decided...(but i don't know if can go according to my plan anot...)

We will sell the house and purchase a new flat at Sengkang/hougang/pungol area. The flats are cheaper there. No point carry on paying the current one, where everybody especially my dad had to slog liked a mad man, trying to make ends meet every month. Will find out from HDB if i can use my name and my mum's to purchase a new house, using my CPF and get a reloan from HDB as I 1st time applying for a flat. If this happens, all problems solved.

Got to call up my insurance agent today as well... To withdraw my CPF investment of 17k back to my CPF. Lots of stuff to think and do today.

It have been days since I’ve last blogged. Well, even a simple fell during AHM can led to numerous messages from concerned Sister and friends asking how am I? Whether I got visit a doctor, etc… Thanks for all your concerns! Really am touched! Yes, my open wounds and hamstring is recovering. I could already walk properly but bathing, sleeping and walking upstairs is still a problem. No worries! I will be in 100% health by end of this week. Thanks once again!

This week is my first week as a TCO. I’m the person who will be in charged of my company’s training program and indents in order for the training to be a smoothed one… Working very closely with my upper study, I tried to learn as much and as fast as I can. Too many paperwork and issues to settle. Just imagine transport meeting for the month of September can easily last for 4 hours! Amazing….Guess it is again time to reorganize my “working style and pattern”.

It is 2.38am in the morning now. I had just completed my work and some Emplanning stuff for this coming Taiwan trip. Considering taking 1 day leave on Friday… Really tired…

1) SNAKES ON A PLANE: This show is about an FBI agent who is escorting an eye witness on a flight from Hawaii to Los Angeles when a crimelord sets in motion the release of hundreds of deadly snakes on the commercial airplane in order to eliminate the witness before he can testify against him. The FBI agent must protect his witness while banding together with the pilot, frightened crew and passengers in a desperate attempt to survive.

My ratings and views: 5/10. This movie is a pure thriller movies and the good guys never dies! The snakes in this movie is super horny too! (Watch it and you will know what i mean...) This movie is quite crappy during the last part when a nigal flew an airplane when his flying experiences is from a PS2 game - Pilot Air Simulator! The way the snakes "die" is not convincing either.

2) AN AMERICAN HAUNTING: Between the years 1818-1820, the Bell Family of Red River, Tennessee was visited by an unknown presence that haunted the family and eventually ended up causing the death of one its members. Starting with small sounds around the farm, and the sighting of a strange creature with piercing yellow eyes, the sounds escalated into full brutal contact with certain family members, causing psychological and physical torment. The attacks grew in strength, with the spirit slapping, pulling, dragging, and beating the Bell’s youngest daughter, Betsy.

My ratings and views: 6/10. I am a person who love to watch "Based on a true story" movies. This movie is quite errie at times. It is a pretty good movie to catch for people who love horror movies. The ending let people ponder if the little girl is really being posses by evil spirit or if it is her own imagination to safeguard against her father. Well, to me she is obviously being posses! Guys, give some thoughts to it and end it your way, your believed!

3) Chai-Lai Angels: Five undercover agents, or “Chai Lais", are tasked with foiling the evil plans of an international crime syndicate. All heroines in their own right, they must use all of their ingenuity and skill to fight their evil nemeses as they arrive in Thailand to pursue the key to their national treasure.

My ratings and views: 1/10. Guys, i watched this movie because there is already no other show to watched that day after a hectic day @ work. Don't waste your time and money.... Its supposed to a an action cum comedy film but i slept inside the cinema! Super lame movie... NEXT!

4) THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA: A drastic improvement on Lauren Weisberger‘s bestselling novel, THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA showcases Meryl Streep’s knack for combining humor and sadness. My ratings and views: 8/10. A branded and glamorous movie! All the actors had their own attitude and style. I'm impress with Anne Hathaway transformation! From a country bumpkin person with minimum dress sense to a super model kind of dressing with perfect makeups. Yes, this show is quite predictable but it really impress me throughout the whole movie! Even guys liked me loves the heels they are wearing! It is touching towards the end as well. Especially when Anne Hathaway give up her job during the peak of her career for her boyfriend. It ponders people mind when it ends up that way - to give up her rich and glamorous lifestyle for a guy who work as a chef! Well, this movie teaches us something. Money and branded goods can't buy you all things - Especially true love. Know what you are doing, always. Do not deviate from your your goals too much and lastly, be true to youself! A movie worth watching!

Rest Day

AHM is over! I did quite badly in the run. I trip and fall when i hit my 3KM mark. Blood was flowing down to my socks and 1 nice soul came asking me if I'm alright. I just gave him a thumbs up and proceeded on. In my whole mind, i just want to complete this 21KM Marathon. But when I picked myself up, i then noticed that I've strained my left hamstring! Well... I push on and managed to run till the 11KM mark where my left leg can no longer take it anymore. Thats where i started to "walk jog walk jog" till the end of the whole Marathon. I finally understand what is the meaning of "有心无力"....

Yes! Finally i got the 2 Ju-On posters with the help of my colleague's girlfriend! Thanks a million! I really appreciate it!

Well, nothing much to blog today. Got to rest my legs and get some sleep. Really tired... Need to re-org my sleeping hours and get more rest. Only slept 2hrs yesterday. Gd nite!

Back in Singapore at last! The moment I reached home, I quickly unpacked my stuff and went straight into a deep sleep…

My brother and Sister-In-Law (Iris) came to my house to have dinner today. Thanks to my brother who help me touched up the nasty scratched and dent (got scratch during the Malacca trip by a motorist…) on the front and back bumper of my car when I’m away in Brunei for training. I sent my brother and Iris back home and went to the car accessories shop to fix up my visor, neon light, speakers and woofer cover.

Thanks to Clarissa for accompanying me to watch this crappy show “The Ghost Game” with me. Although this is our 1st meeting, I felt comfortable with her as the way she talks and express herself is so much liked my friend, Winnie Neo! Haha… Thanks for your company once again and have a good trip to Batam!

Well, Oscar Speech over. Wrapping a present that a friend “craves” for now. Got to pass it to her today after dinner tonight. I got to prep myself mentally for this Sunday AHM as well.

Ended! All training has come to an end! Goodby Darussalam. See you again in 1 year's time! Singapore, HERE I COME!

Im really impressed with my trainees' combat fitness. With the kind of load they are carrying, they could still encouraged each other, keeping their morale high as well as hitting the almost impossible H-hour and completed the whole mission in 1 day when the norm is 2 days! The Instructors are really proud of them. To a certain extend, we are even being pressurized by them! Execellent effort and well done! They have indeed uphold our Wing's motto:

"Making the Difference."

I did not prep myself well mentally for yesterday "Big Walk". In the end, i suffered big time. I just had this "get it over and done with" attitude. My whole mind is just about getting out of the jungle as fast as possible. Maybe after taking 2 batches of trainees, I'm getting bored, tired and over-confident on the training here. But next year, i will be ready.

When i think its over, it has just began. Army Half-Marathon is just this Sunday! Commander's direction is for all Instructors to run 21km! Training just never end. Anyway, i will hugged on Nike's motto and go for it! I do not have a 2nd choice either. :)

Better rest now. I've got a very strong feeling my superior is going to grab me to accompany him for a 6km short run in the evening. All the best, to my legs...

Here I come!!!

Training has been going quite smoothly in Brunei. All trainees were out safely and at last, last three days of training.

I’m not myself today. Concentrating on training seems difficult for me today. I’m getting more and more tired and restless as the days goes by. Logging into the internet here is as difficult as running stadium fifty rounds! Beginning to lose my temper by trainees’ tons of stupid actions, questions and answers. Even my superior got fed up and became sarcastic. The only time I laughed today is when my superior made these remarks to one of my trainee:

“Hey! Do you know what is K.I.S.S?! It means Keep It Simple, Stupid! The way you answer my question is liked you are trying to tell me you are having stomach pain. But when you go to the toilet, you go straight to the urinal and started peeing!!”

The whole Instructors and Trainees’ core laughed!

They just got to start thinking and put things into action. As I’ve told them, “In four months time, we are going to be colleagues…”

My colleague and I started to talk about food today (Because we are damn hungry…Missed dinner…). We surf the web for all the good food and he introduced me a few places to eat when we are back on the 25th. As we are surfing, one particular place caught my attention. A chocolate buffet held at Fullerton Hotel. Suddenly, it just struck me. I’m going to meet a friend when I’m back in Singapore, who craves for chocolates every now and then! Straight away, called and made reservations on next Saturday. I have not called and told her about it yet because of training commitments. Hope she can make it on that day.

I got to make it a point to call home tomorrow as well. Wondering what is my parents doing now.

Well friends, wish me luck for the next three days of training. May God bless us with good weather and journey mercy. Mount “B” and “7 wonders”, here I come!

Thoughts ran wild out in the field...

Sleeping at 3am and waking up at 5am is really tiring me out. As usual, I took my fieldpack (plus laptop) and waited at MT line for my rover to pick me up to “S” area. On my way there, these weird thoughts came into my mind.

“Do I really want this to be my career? How long my fire can keeps burning? Can I be liked my superior who is 41 this year, to be so on the ball and runs almost everyday although I know he doesn’t really love running…”

Well, all these questions I don’t really have an answer for it. But one thing I know and that’s for sure, I’m NOT READY to give up my command position, my Officership…

Well, the weather is extremely hot and humid today. My sweat only stops flowing from evening time onwards. Its only 5.40pm where the sky is getting darker by the minute. I on my laptop and began to scan through what movie am I going to watch tonight, keeping myself awake to mend the radio for “Midnight Comms checked” with my trainees.

I go through my movie list… hesitating to watch “A Beautiful Mind” by Russell Crowe and Jennifer Connelly. I remember watching it with someone whom I’m really once closed with, when I was an Officer Cadet during one of my weekend. She wanted to watch the show so much and in the end, I slept in the cinema! I even remembered she was quite angry about it and commented, “If you want to sleep, might as well go home and sleep. Why waste your time and money to sleep in the cinema?”

I do not understand why she was so pissed off at that point of time. Even until now... Couldn’t she understand that I am very tired after six days of training? After I watched this movie out in the field today with much difficulty (chasing flies, moths and insects which came flying to my monitor for light and heat), I think I finally understand.

She actually has a point right there. Add on to that, I missed the opportunity of watching this “Beautiful show” with this “Beautiful person”.

Well, I’ve always been told by my sister since little and after 4 years of being in the working society plus 25 years of life experiences, I’ve long known the meaning of “do not take things for granted.” But this show just reminded me of the past and further enforced it down into my half-awaked brain right now on the a/m meaning. .

Got to move on in life, concentrate on training and re-org myself on what I want to achieve in the army. But will still stick to my principles in life:

“Simple thoughts, Simple life. Be content with what you have.”

Lancer Training

Have been reading my Sister's and a new friend’s blog. Its quite interesting actually. So, i've decided to create my very own blog. It begins...

Singaporeans have been taking many things for granted. The allowances kids have. The washed clothes, ironed and hung in their cupboards by mothers. The roof they stay under... everything! Even I at times also took all these for granted. But whenever I, or rather anybody who come to Brunei for training, everything just changed.

Weather is hot and humid. Its always super hot in the day and will definately rain at night. Yah..thats Brunei Darussalam. For the past few days, my Wing has completed all the numerous recce, Platoon Battle Course (PBC) and guided navigation exercise. Now Its their own show. 5 days 4 nights of navigation on their own. Last year i went in with my cadets... not an easy task at all. we have to cross numerous mountains and hidden knolls, just to find our checkpoints. Not to mention all the thorn plants, fallen tress, dead falls which were obstructing our rate of movement. Good luck to you all, cadets!

Soon, we will be transiting to our next phase of training. All including Instructors, will be walking the “7 wonders” (7 knolls actually) and Mount. B in Company level. We will then fight "Cynthia" and that’s it for Lancer training! All of us are just looking forward to the 25th August. Everybody just wants to go home fast…. Especially the Instructors… Cadets had their RnR to look forward for. But we instructors know that actually the RnR in Brunei…Is M&M.. (Mosque and Museum)!!! Lets all evacuate from this country fast!

Had a small chat with a group of my fellow colleagues. Delta WSM just cracked a joke. Saying now must minimized on vulgarities. The moment he said that we all laughed! Of all people he is the one who is the “most not qualified” to said that! Haa…

The interesting part of being in the force is you get to meet many different types of people with different personalities and characters. But we still can work as one! (or must work as one??)

Going for a 6km short run now…stay tune!
